An automatic gearbox that works just like a real automatic gearbox!
In Forza Horizon 5 the automatic gearbox option allows you to change gears autonomously, but always and only at the engine rev limit. This thing does not happen in real gearboxes:
For example, if the accelerator is not pressed completely, the change takes place at a low number of revolutions; on the contrary, by pressing all the accelerator the change is at high revs!
I wish this thing was done in Forza Horizon 5 because it would make the driving experience more realistic!
I want this too! They could call it simulation transmission without clutch, with higher bonus than manual with clutch. Above that, simulation transmission with clutch for highest bonus. The transmission indicator would read P-R-N-D(-S) instead of 1-x.

Hey so sorry to reply such late on your post but the thing I have started playing horizon 5 like 5-6 months ago and I for some reason do remember having realistic shifting .. like if I have a lighter throttle, gears shift much before redline but on increasing the throttle, it far enough, it would actually downshift and from then on shift at readline but now that I try on any car, it doesn’t work so could anyone tell if this was actually something or I am just delusional ?? Thanks
As a work around for this problem, tapping your e- brake when driving will often cause the automatic gearbox to shift into the proper gear for the speed you are currently driving.
