On Sunday, my entire garage was deleted after my XB1 froze at the load screen for an online race. I restarted my xbox, deleted my cache, even uninstalled the game and my cars are still gone. I’m afraid it may be a profile corruption error? Is there any way to recover this or possibly save my cars? I’ve spent well over 8mill on cars and upgrades and it’s now all gone.

Have you tried to recover your Gamertag? Usually stuff like that is stored on the cloud isn’t it? It might be still there or it could have over written the file once you fired the game back up again after the crash. If thats the case then my guess is it is gone but for your sake I hope it isn’t. The game crashes constantly for me but so far so good, only 3 cheevies left.
Touchwood i haven’t had any crashes yet. But so far i know a few people who have had this happen. The upshot for all of them is that they either restart their career, or walk away. There seem to be issues, especially with the cloud syncing which is causing some profile corruptions. It’s not necessarily the fault of Turn 10 or Microsoft, you could just have a crappy internet connection. However, the more reports and the more detail that can be included, the more likely these issues will disappear. Sadly with the no gifting or auction house now, we can’t help people like you out anymore. We used to be able to gift you cars/money, but now you’ll just have to decide to start again, or quit Forza.
Best thing to do is email forzafb@microsoft.com with as much detail as possible. It might not fix your issue, but it will provide them with ever building database of issues and what could cause them. This will help in future with regards to performance and stability.
Well at least I’m not crazy with my money and spend it on cars “just because”. The cars I did own were ones that I drove frequently so I am sitting on enough to buy just a few favorites for now. I am really frustrated with the game though and now I feel like I’m grinding just to get money back when before I was just enjoying races for racing’s sake. I did email Turn10 and I’m not expecting to hear anything back.
I’m not trying to start a pity party but this is so unfortunate. There goes 50 hours of gameplay down the toilet. Ugh…
That’s not good. Something like that could prevent me from further playing a game until there was a response from MS/Turn 10. Every time I get a message to select who to log in as or any error involving syncing I’m worried everything going to blow up in my face.
Try contacting Xbox Support (1-800-4MY-XBOX or your localized number) it may be a while before you receive any response to an email. They may have some insight to The Cloud - that’s not Turn 10 controller, and you won’t have an Xbox Support person reading this thread. Give them a call and see if they can suggest something helpful.
This has made me wonder, is the fact that i have to sign in after starting forza, regardless of whether i have signed in already, an indicator that there is a problem? I just assumed that it was a curiosity with the game itself. Why did they take away auto sign in? There is only one profile on my box,who else could i sign in as?!

Yes to kinect, yes to password but it is saved on the box so doesn’t ask me for it and no, it is the same account on (I’ve got just the one).
I’ll try disabling the kinect auto sign in, never works straight away (always takes 30seconds to recognise me), but i do sit close to the screen. I just wish it signed me in when i turn it on, without having to ask it to.
Crapio, I had this happen to me a month ago or so. I called Xbox support and they could see the error but couldn’t fix the issue. Lucky for me I still had my credits and all my tunes saved but my garage was also wiped out. It’s been a grind to get all my cars back but I am just about there, luckily I had almost finished career and focused on the classes I liked running the most. Also, let me take this opportunity to thank the T10 staff, apparently I was one of the first that this happened to and they were extremely helpful pointing me in the right direction to get corrected. Xbox support also gave me a few months free Live to compensate for the loss. Just don’t reset the gamesave, you will lose everything then.
I was playing this morning and a notification popped up saying not enough storage on device and sent me to the home screen when i went back into forza ALL of my cars were gone. but i still have all of my achievements and all the money that was in my bank. Has this happened to anyone else? help please!!
thanks everyone for your responses. I haven’t been able to recover my save through any of these methods but I will be calling Xbox Support tonight to see if they can help in any way. I’ll update you guys with my results later.
