So i’ve never had any issues with Forza 5 since launch, but when i loaded up to play today i see that my entire garage has been emptied and i now own ONLY a Toyota AE-86, which i didn’t even own previous.
It seems to have been caused by the game freezing while loading Le Mans Bugatti Circuit while playing online, thus requiring a console restart. Has any one else encountered this?
Whats the best way to go about informing Turn 10 of this? It’s not a big I deal guess, just kind of a bummer really. Especially since i lost all my VIP cars…
It happened to me, I’m not sure I was the first it had happened to but was one of the first to report it. It was due to an error during the Cloud sync…I lost all my garage w the exception of a stock Toyota Trueno. I spoke with Xbox Live support and there wasn’t anything they could do to correct my situation, but they were extremely nice in giving me some support. Hopefully this only happens to a few of us but they are aware of the issues now and hopefully putting something in place to correct. The good thing is that all my tunes and paints were still saved as well as my credits and driver level…affinity level reset and garage cleared out.
Me too and the cloud is definitely the issue. I took my Xbone over to a buddies over the weekend and used my iphone’s personal hotspot to connect it to the internet. Service at his house was terrible so the connection was constantly disconnecting. Anyway I had purchased an Agera, a P1 and a Huarya and we goofed around with them a bit. When I got home and reconnected my Xbox to my home internet and started playing I noticed while going through my garage the Huarya and Agera were missing and the P1 had a different paint scheme applied than the one I had been using. Oddly though my credit count was minus the cost of the Huarya and Agera as if I had purchased them.
Report the Cloud situations to Xbox LIVE Support. That is their area, and Xbox Support is responsible for helping out. Writing Turn 10 really can’t assist in these cases because they don’t control what happens in the Cloud.
If this happens enough, it would seem time for class action against Turn-10 & MS.
If they are going to remove and deny the buyers ability to save and manage their own saved data then they (T10 & MS) need to be held accountable for the integrity of the data.
Note if you spent real dollars for the tokens to buy those cars you lost then you have actually suffered real damage and they (T10 & MS) need to make you whole again - at least refund the tokens or dollars so you can repurchase the content.
Notice how they (MS) do not dare deny commercial customers the option of saving data locally on their own servers since they (MS) cannot guarantee integrity of the data - so why are we the non-commercial customers forced to put up with this?
So, just a thought that might give us players proof of what we lose in these circumstances…
I am going to start making a video, once a week, of all the cars in my garage and upload it so if there is an issue and the garage is wiped then I will at least be able to prove what I lost and maybe then they can compensate accordingly (not holding my breath). I haven’t been hit by this yet but I want to cover my rear just to be safe. SInce we can’t gift or sell cars this is a pretty solid way to demonstrate what you have bought in game.
My sympathies to those that have had to deal with this.
The empty garage glitch also happened to me on Sunday 09 March, xbox one support, although very helpful cannot seem to do anything and Turn10 do not respond to e-mail or twitter, in my profile I am still showing 89 cars, but in my garage I have the dreaded Trueno.
From what I have read, it would seem to happen late on in the career mode and as I only had the 70’s F1 cars to do this would seem to stack up with other people’s problems.
Somebody, ie: Microsoft or Turn10 needs to reimburse all the credits that it cost to buy the cars so we can buy them back again, if anyone from Turn10 is reading this, maybe an update as to what is happening might be in order from you!
Is there any point in starting again and trying to refill the garage if it is just going to happen again, I have tried contacting Turn10 through 3 different tags on twitter through their e-mail and “NOTHING” why have they not tried to resolve this problem or at least let people know it could happen, I assume it is because they do want to lose sales but it must be easier to find a fix than ignore the people who have already bought the game?
TURN10 & MICROSOFT, ARE YOU OUT THERE OR HAVE YOU DESERTED THE GAMING PUBLIC?
Mr gates if you are reading this, use some of your power/money and help to get this MAJOR PROBLEM sorted, Thank You
