Which brings us back to Microsoft releasing a product that was not ready for release. Sony PS4 is clearly the superior system and I myself may go pick one up this weekend due to the upcoming release of the virtual reality goggles with Gran Turismo 6.
I am sick and tired of logging on and Live not letting you because of an integrity or security issue and then that affects thousands of customers. Sony did not have this when I owned 3 PS3s back in 2007.
I would not use gt6 as an example nothing they promised was in the game when released
Okay, first off, for anyone who has had this happen, please list what happened, what track, etc. so that those of us who have NOT had this happen can be aware of what can be avoided, if anything.
I am deathly afraid of this glitch, and here’s why.
My son is autistic, and he has trouble understanding that cars, or tracks, need to be ‘unlocked’. Thus far, he has shown great restraint in not freaking out because of the cars that haven’t been bought yet. That said, I have used tokens to ‘accelerate XP’ in order to level his profile up quickly so that we can buy all of the cars in the game. As of right now, we have purchased ALL of the cars in the game, including all of the DLC, with the exception of about 40 cars, most of which cost over $1 million.
So we’re talking about a MAJOR investment of actual dollars for tokens purchases (probably close to $100 so far), and a MAJOR investment of time.
Because of this, I am scared of this glitch happening to his profile. Mine too, for that matter. So, T10/Microsoft, what can be done? From what I’ve been reading this sounds like a Cloud issue, could you guys maybe incorporate a patch that would create a “LOCAL” backup save on the hard drive for a worst-case “what-if”? Maybe even give T10 the ability to be the primary arbiter of restoring the “LOCAL” backup save in the event the garage is deleted? Keep in mind - our garages are a true representation of both our TIME, and our MONEY. If we lose our garages, in some cases, we have been truly ‘damaged’ for real, actual monetary dollar value lost.
Just a thought.
