I don’t know when, but we definitely have to have the second part of the Lucha de Carreteras story.
Because 4 Wrestling outfits (Blue, Green, Pink, Black) and 4 Wrestling Masks (Blue, Green, Pink, Black) are still closed.
And the last words in the 8th chapter sound like this: I cannot wait to see what bouts of Lucha de Carreteras await us in the future! That is, a clear hint of continuation.

I guess that’s one possible explanation for the lack of the outfits and masks. A Part 2 that never made the final cut and they forgot to “fix” the rewards to drop despite it. Frankly it wouldn’t surprise me. I just took the dialog to be the usual fluff at the time and wasn’t looking for an expansion. Let’s ask the devs for the answer !

In the 23rd series, they promise some kind of story, but I think it will be a Barbie story 
Unfortunately, but you’re probably right, they abandoned the continuation of the Lucha de Carreteras story a long time ago, and it would be a miracle if they released part 2.

Please, please, please no more stories. Please no more wasting the developers precious time on annoying one-shot content while the core of the game and the endgame is so buggy, incomplete, and drip fed.
Please no more wasted effort on building levels in a story when that could be used to finally give us actual, fully-functioning new races on the woefully underutilized map.
Please no more wasting space on grating dialogue in this already massively sized game.
Please no more adding bugs into the game for nothing more than a one and done event that adds practically nothing to this game that has so much staggering potential if they’d only make the effort to actually unlock it for the user.
I’m so beyond done with stories.

Well, I kind of just wanted to collect the missing Wrestling outfits & Masks, so I thought that the continuation of Lucha de Carreteras would help unlock these items. I just collect not only cars in the game, but also all things/items, etc.

I am the player who - after more than 1.5 years fighting with the “support” - finally wrestled these items from the devs after all we have been told “winnable by wheelspins” was never possible.
Let´s see what will happen with them now. May I add that in the west there is something what looks like a LDC yard in the open which is not used in the story yet.
But to be honest - I am not sure what I want: Second LDC story (which would be very nice for sure) - or a bugfree game as @TheWarmWind76 describes pretty well.
Bugfree games may just not be in Playground Games nature. We will see what Fable brings…
