This is my first post here , I have been playing forza for years and have just decided to finally use this forum and didn’t realise how useful it could be! Anyway I have been trying to create a really usable RWD drift tune for the ‘95 BMW M5 I feel like it’s dialled in but I want it to try and carry more speed through the corners and wondered what was best to adjust to do that ? I feel like it can run out of puff sometimes around certain drift zones. I have tried loads of different set ups and think to gain what I want it needs to be 4WD? But I don’t want to do that really.
If anyone has any ideas or knows of any techniques to carry speed through corners in a rear wheel drive it’d be great to hear some!
If you’d like to check out what I have done to help your feedback the share code for the tune is : 177 136 149
I’ll give it a run once the season changes. My first guess is that you should try closer ratio gears to keep the rear tires spinning? If you want to drive it around, keep the 6th gear long to get from A-to-B without breaking the rear tires loose. The rest should be extremely close. If you feel the rear tires gripping in any gear below 6th, you need closer ratios.
LOL, last time I used toe out. Is in better? I used it for easier transitions. I usually used Formula D beasts but slower cars are amazing to drift. No crazy racing tires and 500+ hp engines, just exact drifting.
Yeah, AWD is pretty crazy on angles and a speed (= more points on zones) but it’s a waste of time to play with or call it drifting. You could be easily among the best with RWD but upper positions are for AWD only. Game should fix it.
Toe out would be really twitchy, not really recommended for drifting or racing. Toe-in can make a drift tune straighten out, which is why I asked about that. Feels very much like a gearing issue in this tune, though.
Interesting, I will play with it more. Today I tried different Formula D cars only and it was so good. Racing tires are a bit strange but you can go much faster in curves.
