Lobbys are a joke. full of idiots

Lucky wotsit, being in the UK and having the game already. My pre-order got dispatched today so I’m hoping I’ll get it tomorrow, which will still be a day early.

I tried about 10 league races and to be honest i think only one was a race as opposed to about 9 crash up derbies. Try and stay clean give people room when they clearly are carrying more speed and get a nose on you on the inside…figure give the guy some room maybe people will clue in to clean racing. HELL NO the next corner i get a better drive coming out of a corner and the same guy i just finished giving room to slams into me just as i get beside him stuffing me into the tire wall stopping me dead in my tracks…i am not too sure about giving it another go but i am going to stick to non collision lobbies from now on…talk about removing the fun in the online experience i am not sure. Here i thought people may just want to have an enjoyable racing experience when apparently what they need is another crash up derby style game…I do not get mad for the occasion rubbin is racing but when it is blatantly clear that either the guy behind has not even attempted to slow down for a corner and rams into you at 150 mph for a 30 mph corner or as i mentioned earlier you get by a guy relatively cleanly and he stuffs you in a wall…

I usually have more fun running in the back of the pack, I like to find someone I can buddy up with and draft behind them the entire race, if they crash I usually wait for them and we go again. I very rarely have contact with the guy I am drafting, I ease off before corners so I don’t hit the guy in front of me. I like the longer races, it gives me more time to find a running partner. Of course not every race goes as planned, and not every race is going to be " epic " but all my friends and followers have came from this style of driving. It intimidates most people until they get used to me being there, usually I try to single out the same car in the next race if I can. Once in a while, if I find myself in a top spot I will go a head and race for the win, but I don’t usually find myself in that position, when I did get a win I just felt like I was running from, instead of racing the guy behind me, because from my experience he would take me out at the first opportunity.

I would recommend that you report the obvious troll players for unsporting behavior through Xbox. I think if they eventually get their Xbox Live reputation lowered they will be more likely to get paired up with other losers.

Lol 1st corner winners are the worst. You thinj yes im at the front stay near the inside of first corner but noooooo. My rear view mirror looks like a pinball machine lol. Then blam… 24th. And overtake and repeat. Lol. Joined a online racing league in f3/4/5 but the hours are just plain wrong for me. I cant always be racing at a set time you see. Sometimes im on for a long old sesh sometimes just a few races. I notice someone mentioned the drivertards. They dont smash at first corner much but how come most my pals who race clean and fast are always slower than the ones who use assists and dont win much. Not very realistic ive noticed. But heyits still better than some. At least rossi and muller are back.

I will add some of you guys who added there gt. Should be same as name I know but people dint always have 1 gt.

its always the same since forza3 , at least for me , in forza2 for example filtering by " language " parties was much better to first find someone with my own language and second in that time you can kick someone out directly from the party…

I’m sure it will be this way for while until they sort this type of stuff out. I refuse to play online races currently

It’s much cleaner in leagues:

What I did in previous Forza life to be matched with these people I do not know…

I love this game I’m in the third season on single player. The physics are spot on the game almost feels completely new in a great way. But then I join league play and regular hopper lobbys and it’s down right horrible. I was in 2nd coming in on the last corner and I got spun out. I would be driving and people just ram the back of me sending me into walls. It’s honestly pathetic not only that I’m playing in the platinum league or division 1 so it’s not like I’m playing with people who suck at the game. With all that being said I don’t think there’s any hope for online playing in this game.

Even with the league stuff you guys added to try and stop this it does nothing. So turn 10 how about you do us a favor and bring back user created lobbys that way we can kick those who play rough, we can play the game types and the ways we want to play not the ways you force upon us. Or if that’s to much to ask why don’t you guys look at the successful games on the pc you will notice one thing. THERE ONLINE HAS SIMULATION DAMAGE. [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]. It’s because those who drive aggressively will crash and have to sit there for the whole game watching the good players actually race. So why don’t you guys at least bring in simulation lobbies.

BTW the drift lobbies suck awd with rwd? Those awd people finish about 1 whole lap before most rwd drifters so good going with that one.

That’s not true though, it’s the same for all online racing games.

Don’t lie to your self I play a lot of Assetto Corsa. Get a wheel try it out great game little content though. The worst thing you’ll see in that game is someone spinning out then pulling back on in front of you causing a crash. And people on that game consider those people trolls. And that’s just Assetto Corsa. IRacing the game they got the league play idea from. If you cause a crash you will be suspended from online that simple. Plus both those game are simulation damage mostly so everybody tries there best to avoid crashes.

If they (Turn10) forced the hoppers to use sim damage all the time it would just enable another form of trolling.

For example, let’s say that there’s that one person in the lobby that is just ludicrously faster than everyone else. If you’ve played Forza enough, you’ve been in a lobby like that. What would stop someone from deliberately knocking this guy into a wall damaging his car to the point that he (or she) has no chance of even finishing the race, let alone catch back up? This person was guilty of nothing other than just being faster than everyone else and now there is a new mechanic to punish him.

Here’s another scenario…

We have 24 player lobbies now. I routinely see 6+ car pileups within the first few turns and often before the first turn. With sim damage “on” ALL of these people are effectively out of the race just because of one person. At least with cosmetic damage, they have a fighting chance to catch back up. I do it all the time.

IMHO, sim damage only works when you are already racing with other guys that are already careful. With sim damage, they will be that little extra bit careful. While this may work with hardcore online racers that participate in the games you mentioned, the fact is that FM6 is just more “accessible” to everyone. That means you get the good with the bad and the “bad” don’t care if they take you out of the race or themselves in the process.

Not saying on every lobby but have the option for it. Yes those pileup would not be as bad or as common because people wouldn’t want to break there car in the first corner. And yes I see what saying on the crash on the fastest driver or what ever but that’s where the league plays can actually do something. Because it’s simulation there will be far less crashes making the division thing actually mean something. If some body constantly spins people out and has more then the average amount of damage per race race they would get put in worse divisions. Making it so people actually drive more fair. Not saying to fully implement it just put out some simulation hoppers.

Those are full on simulation games with a MUCH, much lower population of people playing. They also can’t be played with a controller, so you’ll need to invest in hardware to play them. Thus the higher quality of racers.

Its a pretty big problem. Im trying to go in expecting to get wrecked, and it does happen every time. The sucky part is, im not good enough to catch all the way back up. I usually finish middle of the pack or towards the bottom because of the wrecks.

Such a shame that the lobbies are still full if idiots. And such a shame the lobbies still aint fixed. Tiny tracks for r class and above constantly. Oh but wait you added laguna a bit more to the mix. 5 was a let down. Byt we knew it was a rush job. There is litterally no excuse for why this game is still not working.we know its marketedas a sim. But us who have played them all know uts not. Still the physics of cars being punted left right and center. Wowowowow. I didnt spend 80 odd quid to play private with my pals. Its not meant to be like that. Im sure there has to be legal case here. To have a game still not working correctly so long after launch. Ive sent numerous emails to support. Never a single reply.

There is nothing that can be done about online griefers, outside of reporting them to Microsoft and/or T10. This is not a problem of theirs, but a problem of individual people, and thus something they can not control like that. There is no legal grounds there, and for you to think that is a bit ridiculous. The game is working, just because the tracks chosen in multiplayer are not the ones you like does nothing to show against that. None of the things you listed are bugs, or things that are hindering gameplay or stopping you from playing because of something wrong with hardware/software, and none of them indicate that the game is not working properly. They are all just personal preferences on your part.

This is how online works, in any game. You’ll always get trolls and idiots. To avoid that, make friends. It’s not their problem, but you can make everyones life and gameplay easier by following the proper steps to get these people weeded out.

To avoid the aggravation everyone is having about the unruly behavior of some drivers and some psychos who like creating mayhem by purposely ramming folks off track, all lobby races should be ghost lobbies or there should be a ghost variant of each concrete lobby.

I have to agree with above, the only way to conduct a proper race when I go online is in a ghost lobby. We don’t need a ghost variant of every event but it would be nice to see plenty more choices for ghost lobbies… Honestly it feels like the trolling and poor driving etiquette online has been getting much worse lately…
