I reported it back in OCTOBER and it’s obviously still not fixed. I don’t think it’s actually got anything to do with actual saves, as I can still save tunes despite apparently having ‘too many’, I just can’t load any. I believe it’s something on their back end server side, they just can’t be bothered, or don’t know how, to fix it
*Also, tried multiple times deleting saves to see if it would work and it makes no difference, hence why I feel it’s something else server side causing it. Of note, this obviously started happening to me in october, just after the game had released. I hadn’t made many files or done many tunes, at the time due to carPG (urgh) I’d mostly been playing stock cars in private lobbies with friends, so I shouldn’t have had many, if any, auto saves to overload the server if that was indeed the cause.
It’s kind of disgusting that stuff like this that actively breaks major segments of the game has been left broken for so long and not addressed, though that holds true for a lot of this ‘game’ frankly.
Well, a few days ago I noticed that it had randomly started working (i.e. before the latest patch) so I’m guessing you had fixed something on their back end/servers. Unfortunately, since the latest update the issue has returned, so I’m back to basically not being able to using any tunes again. Would screen shots suffice?
I am on a Xbox series X and I have 527 race cars with custom liveries.
Unfortunately, without any warning, I am no longer able to add more liveries on delete old liveries.
This is the screen that comes up:
“TOO MANY SAVES
You have too many Livery files saved to your profile and will be unable to save a livery to this car. Please select a solid color option or delete a file from my Designs and try again.”
The game will no longer allow me to delete any of my liveries! Instead, the game will freeze up
and won’t let me back out. None of the controller buttons work, except for the Xbox button. I then must exit by hitting the Xbox button and go to the Home Screen and exit out of the game. And then restart the game.
NOTE: whenever I go My Designs or Find Designs and attempt or choose another design, I will get the same message and then the screen freezes and locks up.
At this point I am unable to remove any liveries or add a liveries onto a newly purchased race car or one of my 527 cars.
I’m sure many more will have this problem once they reach the maximum number of liveries.
This problem isn’t going away but will continue to increase each day, weeks and months.
You receive no warning before you get this message and once you receive it the game locks up. There is no count down of livery space in the current game to give you a warning that the space is almost gone. So, once the max number is reached, it is impossible to delete your liveries to free up space and game locks up.
You have made an amazing game Turn 10, please fix this problem ASAP.
I’ve reached the maximum number of liveries downloadable in the game (which by the way are fewer than the number of cars available), hope this gets fixed asap but this is a new issue thet arises when the message is shown (the one about having too many liveries, please delete some) and immediatelly the game’s buttons no longer respond, they all freeze on PC so cancelling or returning to the previous screen is not possible, escaping (esc) does not work either, the only solution is closing the game (with the windows task administrator) and starting again. Thanx for creating a great game but the liveries limit should at least equal the number of cars avaliable and this freezing of the game after the limit message is shown is very frustrating.
My Xbox controller buttons freeze up and the only way to unfreeze is to push the Xbox button and then exit out of game.
I do have 527 cars, but the game should have enough space for all the cars.
Also, it is impossible to delete any of the liveries in order to free up space! I cannot add or replace any of my liveries!
Turn 10, please fix this major issue!

I’m on S console and I’m completely unable to import liveries from FH5. Gives me the too many saves message. And, yes, I’ve tried deleting files and no go,
This issue very much is still a problem specifically with FH5, I really want to say its because FH5 allows 1000 livery slots vs FM2023’s 450. I have liveries I made on FH5 that I still want to import (the upcoming Porsche 911 GT3 RS career thing, I want my custom livery from FH5 now I cant have it) and I get told “too many saves”
I had an issue today when i tried to import liveries from fh5 , as the livery limit is 450 i understand that for FM and i have only 63 liveries in FM , but when i try to import from FH5 it says you have too many from this file i didn’t understand at the beginning, but then i realised that i have more than 450 liveries on FH5 , so in order to import a livery from any older game we must have only 450 liveries in that game which is confusing, i had to delete more than a 100 liveries from FH5 so i can import in FM , but that’s for now , if i want to import more and i already did more liveries in FH5 i have to delete more from FH5 which is not acceptable for me i can’t lose work from fh5 , i don’t know why FM is counting the liveries in fh5 or any older game , but that is an issue since if you just need to import 1 livery from an older game that you have more than 450 liveries in it you can’t till you delete sooo many till you have 450 only in that game , please fix this .
Hello @MARVAN_ai . The link i have showed you is for steam version. If you are experiencing this on xbox, make sure to change the title and don’t delete this topic, but if you’re on steam, you can delete it.
I’m on Xbox S and I’m still very disappointed that I can’t transfer files from the two titles even after the update despite being able to do this a few updates a go. I’ve taken the usual steps of deleting some designs and of course no different result.
