I tried importing my liveries and vinyl groups from 4 and it only transferred some. I made sure to edit and make sure everything on the car and groups were made by me and me alone (Evidence being the “share” button being present on the liveries and groups), but nothing comes up. I tried sharing them openly but I’ve got nothing. I don’t know if there’s a way to do a force resync. Any insight or help would be much appreciated.
If you’re playing on steam when you previously played from the Microsoft Store or console, I guess you can’t import your files from previous games. Kind of dumb that you’re signed into your Xbox account but you can’t move them from one game to the next
Yeah I’ve been hearing that too. I have it through MS themselves so it in theory should import properly, but after seeing people with similar issues and the bugs from last weeks launch, seems like this may be one of those bugs.
Hello I have a big problem when I want recovering one of my liveries from FH4 my game load and impossible to go back forced to relaunch the game and as a bonus I do not have my liveries what to do ?
Not all of my cars appeared either after 1 and a half hours. I got half my cars. I’m on the Microsoft version.
So I managed to resync by resetting the saves in the Settings page on Windows and it brought up the rest of them. I don’t know how or why it brought up the other liveries and decals I had on a second try but it worked.

Can you please explain this in detail?
Win key> Settings> Apps
Search “Forza Horizon 5” and click “Advanced Options”
Scroll down until you see a “Reset” section
Click the “Reset” button and confirm it
This will reset the cached data (imports, preferences, etc.), but keep your progress. If I’m not mistaken, your tunes, liveries, and decals should stay. If you want to play it safe, I’d say just share them so you can go back and redownload but it they should stay since the ones I could download were still there.
Of course make sure BEFORE your import, make 100% sure the liveries and decals within any liveries you have contain absolutely ZERO downloaded designs from other creators.
Open the game back up (it shouldn’t reoptimize the game), go to the designs and import as usual. The missing designs should pop up for download.
Unfortunately, I do not know what to do if this method does not work and my only advice would be to wait for a patch from Playground.
