I’d like the ability to skip through the post-race credits, as was the case in FH3.
Sitting through them and having to watch an idiotic avatar prancing around and then watching a wheelspin for more stupid clothes and hats is just painful.
- Clothes. I bought a driving game not a dress up doll game.
- No Championships
- Used perks on auction cars. You can’t see which ones have been used. We need the ability to see which ones have been used OR reset them if the car is sold.
- How do average drivatards drive a perfect race?
- Need global perks and less car specific perks
There’s a distinctive lack of variety with cars when racing ; up to 8 opponents will drive the same car (8 in a 12 drivers race, wow).
How is it even possible that I can’t exit the team adventure mode between events after the championship is over, but only through quitting at the actual race, where player leaving actually could affect the whole team?
No seriously, how is this possible?
Update:
Ok I just got in my first ranked game. Now I do understand the decision of making it a team effort, if there was only one winner ranking up efficiently would be nightmare. What I don’t understand is that WHY ON EARTH the ranked races are not non-contact ones? In my first ranked race I was constantly being rammed by my team mates, who were desperately trying to scramble for the first position and my opponents who seemed to think this is a bumper car race. For crying out loud, allowing us to matchmake according to contact or no-contact should be a no-brainer in a game like this, especially if you are going for a ranked mode!
- Return the old multiplayer from FH2 & FH3
- Give us a multiplayer like you had in FH2 & FH3
- Fix the multiplayer to be more like FH2 & FH3
- Make multiplayer more user-friendly like in FH2 & FH3
- Get McDonalds to learn how to properly center a Filet-O-Fish and Cheese on a bun (Oh come on… you know you were thinking it)
Another couple to add (albeit tiny little niggles in comparison to the real problems in this game) less disappointments, more just little annoyances;
- Game keeps randomly putting me in horizon life when i want to play solo. Thankfully it’s noticeable fairly quickly as the game world is dead in online.
- If i’m driving & have a way point set then i change car (delivered to me) i have to set the way point again.
October 10th Complete Disappointment as they did not fix the issues with the AI bending the laws of physics by being inhumanly fast and not making 1 mistake on any race including Cross Country.
Tier 12 rewards…acid washed skinny jeans??? C’mon guys I enjoy your games, and enjoy being rewarded for my time and effort but this isn’t “Dance Party 7”.
No blueprint, full customisable, multi race championships of our own design as per FH3.
So, I preordered the Ultimate Edition, and since it came out in September, I have been collecting all the issues that I came across in the game
Some of these things are not so much issues as they are just infuriating things. I have never felt so mad playing a game before. Prepare for some moaning.
Wheelspins
Wheelspins for me are soo bad. It honestly feels like a gambling machine, trying to make me win as little as possible. I have collected data from them since the start, and I have gotten more 1000CR and 2000CR combined than I have epics. Now, I know that they are common for a reason, but these are not REWARDS!!!if this is what you give me for increasing my level and progressing through the game, WHY does it seem like a gambling machine! it should be random! I see so many times the wheels just clicking past legendaries, epics, and it lands on useless stuff! I played the game with my mate, and my router was having issues letting Toredo packets through, so I had to spend about 12 hours total getting it to work, and by that time, he had gotten to level 121 while I was still at level 57. yet I still had over 100 clothes (I got the achievement) and 150 cars, while he had gotten over 9 Million CR, about 50 clothes, and about 115 cars. (I.e: I’M SICK OF THE CLOTHING!) I have gotten more common cars than I have epic and legendary anything. This needs to feel more like a rewards system than a gambling system, because guess what happens when someone loses consistently at a gambling machine?
Rewinds
These suck soo much, they seem to delete parts that are further back at random. For example, when playing street scene (Which I suck at) I have to use rewinds quite alot due to the fact that the races are very fast paced. And I know that at the start of the race you need to let the rewinds build up, but when you get to 60% and haven’t rewound at all, why can I only go back 2 clicks? I can sometimes not even rewind at all in these races, I have to wait a few seconds before it decides to rewind me, while everyone else goes on ahead. And FORZATHON Live, why doesn’t it let you rewind when you miss the PR stunt? you just have to sit there and wait for about 15 seconds before it lets you do anything! Also, when you rewind in a PR stunt sometimes it fails you, which turns out to be that is you stay stationary for too long in the rewind ‘menu’ it fails you as it considers you stationary for too long. Why? Honestly how much time was actually spent trying to pick bugs and not just trying to find it through casual play?
Auto Resets
can we please make this where if its been the amount of time it waits before resetting us it just gives us the option, because it only resets us when we slow down enough, but due to the weight balance of the cars, when we slow down, the cars flip back over (most of the time) but it usually resets you as your flipping back onto your wheels! And in races when it resets you, it takes like 10 seconds, AND IT DOESN’T PAUSE THE RACE!!! By the time I’m reset, the race is over! I’ve lost! I don’t expect to be placed back at the front, but does it really have to ruin races like this?
#FORZATHON Live
Why do the speed zones seem to be soo twitchy? When you go ‘out of bounds’, and you are losing speed, why does it cancel it out? I’m losing speed, i’m not going to get a good time, just let me bank these points i have! I can understand if you undershoot the corner, because that could allow you to cheat a PB time in, but when we overshoot and go from 200 Km/h to 100Km/h, is it really necessary to take that away, because then we have to go all the way back around, and in some speed zones waste like 30 seconds doing it! It seems to harsh for an event that’s meant to be fun!
I know this complains about alot, but I want to get everything out there so I can see if I’m doing anything wrong. And maybe get something done about the rewinds and #FORZATHON Live. Thanks!
8 minutes of load times for 1 race. Unless I do a blueprint race for 6+ laps, it’s just not worth my time to do any of the events. And I’m on Xbox, so it’s not like I can update my hardware.
Ranked adventures have S2 on dirt racing. And there is nothing you could do to change that. I’m racing my track day hypercar to race in the dirt. This isn’t what I signed up for the adventure. ugh
Feel i have to post this topic due to major issues that i cannot believe were not noticed by the devs.
-
A bug that means my car won’t move. A bug happening after yesterday’s update. Happened 3 times in a 3 hour session.
-
Not being able to quit after a team play session. This was not spotted in testing?
-
The biggest issue. No clear matchmaking playlist for pvp (everyone for them self) multiplayer. To play competitive on line I need to do the team adventure. If I pick PVP from a blueprint or a race in game no one has ever joined. I honestly can’t believe this option was excluded.
-
Unable to connect to a freeroam session. Never had this issue until after the update yesterday.
-
You are telling me theres no way to jump in an online session with the car club only populating it, whats the point in the club then if we cant run around together in a full online session (im not on about a convoy here)? Theres tabs for the club but no option to join up with the players online at the same time. [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]
I really hope these issues get sorted but i seriously doubt it. For the game to have any longevity online then the multiplayer issues need to be addressed.
Most of these popular YouTuber’s are dropping viewers and this game just came out. Cant imagine it lasting 2 years.
The game simply has no “legs” unless they can sort out some of these problems and add back in the stuff that is missing. As it is right no there is no long term play. Team adventures are a disaster and they need normal PvP championships. Open class rivals missing severely detracts from long term game play as well. For me the whole game is/was building cars and testing them all out for hours and hours on rivals but that is no longer available. Then I would take my favorites from rivals testing and play some blueprinted championships. But the blueprint championships that kept me busy for months are no longer available. Then I would take these favorite cars and race them against humans online. But with no online choice of class and team only adventure I have no interest in the online game here.
So the stuff that would keep me playing for 2+ years easily (rivals, blueprint championships and choice of class (not team) online championships) are all gone are all gone which gives me no interest or reason to keep playing. There is just no long term content here that interests me.
Maybe it’s just me…but I just started the “World’s Fastests Rentals” business storyline and I am unable to get 3 stars on two of the chapters as of now because it is winter and it is impossible to gain traction on the snowy/iced roads in certain vehicles. It’s really frustrating that I am going to have to wait for another “season” just to complete this.

No Lootboxes.
We’re better off. Every one.
They would be nice if they were not useless and worthless. 50k per spin once in a while would be fine, not a shirt or a boat horn…
-Ranked takes too long to participate in.
-No solo adventure…? What is the reason for its removal?
-NO SOLO RANKED??? WHY???
-No way to access photomode from menu? Why??
-Time still elapses when pausing in offline mode, hence making photomode painful… Why???
-Can’t change time when finishing an event in offline mode…
-Auction house limit is too restrictive
-Car sound needs massive improvement… A few cars sound good and the rest seem neglected for some reasons
-No championships? Ok whatever.
-Rivals… I don’t have any more words to say.
-Garments, emotes and horns in wheelspin? Why couldn’t they just give those their own shop… like spending forzathon points on those things would be more logical
-From what I got so far, online adventure only offers races with cars of class 700 up to 998… What about the lower classes?
-This game is on PC… Why can’t I just use my keyboard to chat with the others… Even Xbox supports keyboards… (At least quick chat is useful when racing)
This is my first Forza game. I don’t have a console, and just play on PC. Last console I bought was the original Xbox back around 2003 or so. I have a mixed relationship with this game so far. I have been playing a few days and am level 50ish, and have a little over 70 cars so far in my garage, and I picked up the Ultimate Edition.
Much of my disappointments have already been echoed throughout this thread, but here are the most glaring ones for me.
-
Races scale based on your car. For example for the seasonal super saloon championship here in winter right now I figured I needed a great car to do it, and bought a Forza Edition Alpha Romeo in the auction house, and then modified it to reach as powerful as I could for the A class. I couldn’t get above 5th or so with it after numerous tries. I switched to my stock 2008 M3, and got 2nd on my second attempt. I keep it on one of the higher difficulty levels. My car was a lot slower than the Alpha. This makes no sense to me at all. This defeats the purpose of progression and upgrading a car when the AI just scales based on your car, and I can’t predict which cars are good for which races or what ideal setups for them will be.
-
No progression feeling at all. After a few hours and getting up to 40-50 or so in rank I don’t feel like there is anything left to work towards besides earning credits just to purchase houses, and try to max out skill points to spend on various cars or just to pad my garage with more cars I will never drive. There are no upgrades to unlock for cars that would enable me to go back and place higher in races. Wouldn’t matter anyway when the AI just scales off your car. When finishing a race it just says completed, and doesn’t record your ranking so no desire to go back to improve upon, and with the way the AI scales, not much point anyway. I get access to all classes of cars right from the start in wheelspins or car packs. I got a Chiron from one of my first wheelspins, and could go max it out with upgrades right from the start. There is little sense of reward in earning new cars with how many are thrown at you in wheelspins and other ways. I miss the excitement I get when getting a car I really like.
-
I have only experienced the winter season so far, and I find it disappointing that the best car I have been using is the Chiron with snow tires for free-roam mode, and for all the speed traps, danger zones and other free-roam activities. It also should not be among the most effective vehicles for the Forzathons in Winter in my opinion. I would think one of my off-road specific vehicles would be much more effective here, but it isn’t. In reality people keep their supercars locked up during the winter months and bring them out once Spring hits. This makes me fear that there is too much of a one size (car) fits all approach through everything in this game. I do love the visuals though in Winter, and how much different they made the environment from other seasons.

This is an open-world racing game that focuses on social aspects. However, there is no real way that I have discovered yet to interact with other racers. There are little dialogues you can spurt out like “nice car” but nothing more substantial than that. Where is the chat option? I haven’t set up my mic yet, but I feel like there is no purpose of one anyway and never hear anyone else talking. How do you communicate with other racers to set up groups to perform activities with or race with? This is a very important aspect of open-world online games and it just isn’t here. This was one of the main draws to purchasing this game in the first place for me as I just took for granted this would be in the game.

I grew up in the UK so I love the setting. I think they did a phenomenal job on map design and creating a mini-Britain. However, the map feels very lifeless. There isn’t a great deal of traffic or much variety with NPC vehicles and no pedestrians walking around. I have played other open-world games that are crime simulators that feel like they have living, breathing environments, but I don’t feel that with this game.
-
The amount of upgrades for the cars seems very tiny compared to other games. There are no options to adjust the interiors. There are not a great deal of performance upgrades, and as I mentioned doesn’t really serve a purpose, unless I guess you are going into multiplayer races. There are not a ton of rims, body kits, or other visual changes you can do to the car. The number of cars in this game is extraordinary, but I wish they focused a little more on the variety of upgrades. Hopefully, this will be addressed in future updates.
.
There are other gripes I have such as a heavily convoluted menu screen that is very confusing to navigate. I hope this gets streamlined as the game goes on. If I change car then my navigation is reset, and every time I open and close the map then all my filters are reset. This is a minor annoyance. The results screens at the end of a race with emotes, and such feels like it is geared to a very young audience, and out of place in an open world racing game. The racing clubs seems like it should be like a ‘guild,’ but I haven’t really found a purpose of being in one yet. Maybe, it is there, but I just haven’t discovered it yet. The damage model feels overly basic for me, especially after playing another racing game that focused a lot on damage models. Makes me wonder if there is any point in having one at all in this game. I would like to see damage affecting the performance of the vehicle, which would make you think twice before shooting offroad to get to your destination. The cars just magically repair themselves as well. For example in the story missions such as the stunt driver with Mike Steele (I do like how he is so much like Liam Neesan’s character in one of the Dirty Harry movies), he tells you not to damage the car. When you reach your destination the first clip shows it all damaged, and then it flashes to the next screen and where you perform the stunt and the car is magically repaired. What is the point of the horns? I hope they add a relevance for the horn soon. Even waiting for Forzathon’s to begin I hardly hear anyone using it. I get so many in wheelspins that I feel like it needs more of a purpose. Clothing as well as I only notice them during the little cut scenes after a race.
I haven’t tried the multiplayer game modes yet, so I am hoping this will make me see the purpose of being in clubs here, and that it will have a lot of depth to it. The game feels like it is a bit incomplete in numerous aspects that I have mentioned, and I hope that over-time they will bump this up as the foundation they have built is excellent. There is so much untapped potential here. The bar is very high in open-world games right now, but while this game reaches or sets the bar higher in some aspects it falls well short in others.
Loading times are just horrendous. 2–3 minutes to sign in to the game, and setting up an event takes longer than the event itself, plus there is no option to restart any event. Tried the fastest rentals thing in coop, failed within a few seconds, and had to sit through another minute of loading, plus the convoy thing randomly loses people or disconnects woo!
We were all sick of winter within a day. This is why snow worked well in an isolated expansion that you played through and were done with. Now we basically have to not play for a week each month which, while healthy, is kind of annoying. Drift zones are also made extra hard with these conditions. The Crew 2 does this well, where snow just randomly appears and sticks around for maybe an hour, but doesn’t ruin the roads or anything; it is mainly just pretty. Here it makes the map hard to look at, especially for the rewards board grind, and just makes driving unenjoyable.
Re above, also no one enables damage because there is no way to fix it within a race. That works with pit stops in motorsport, and it worked with petrol stations in NFS Rivals <3, but Horizon keeps refusing to offer that sort of thing, so we have these built up towns and loads of cars, but no fuel.
People have mentioned lack of progression and over-rewarding a lot, and I very much agree. They pretended that the prologue was about progression, but things unlocked at random times and getting on the roster turned out to mean nothing at all of note, just as the wristband thing, which we don’t see, again, despite that early leaked photo, is just about time in game, nothing to do with skill. And I now have 113 cars and have bought a total of one…
