Limitation on saved tunes and tedious removal

Recently ive been getting the dreaded “too many saves” error when trying to save some additional tunes, this is by no means a new problem and one it seems many people have encountered, but informatiom on whom and why there is a limit in the first place is unclear and it seems the attitude is nothing can be done.

Heres hoping someone might have some answers or with additional noise about the topic it might get increased/improved/hand cuffs removed for the rumoured limit of 300.

Why is there a limit at all?

Is the limit related to Xbox One saves being in the cloud and say only X space is permitted per game/app?

Is the limit imposed by Microsoft or has Turn 10 just decided to cap it for safety?

What if i dont want to delete any of my saved tunes, i have plenty of space on my Xbox shouldn’t i be able to use that if i don’t care whether they are in the cloud or not?

Is there a practical (and reasonably efficient) way to manage the full list of saved tunes other than specifically “getting in” each car, going to upgrade, selecting load, deleting some of the list by pressing X and then repeating this entire sequence over n over n over?

Anyone gone down the route of buying multiples of the same car, tuning each differently and not saving any of the tunes? Does the unique setup of each car remain intact? Will this get around the save limitation to a degree or will i then just hit a max-cars-in-garage limitation?

With well over a hundered of cars in my garage, some with many saved tunes and some none at all, not only is finding saves I want to delete a nightmare but at an average of say 5 minutes per car it would literally take me days to go through them all. With the huge range of cars and customization being flag ship features for the game, having a limitation on these seems rather ironic…
