Let the community control the economy.

My biggest hope for FM7 is that it will bring back the community involvement of the early games. A big part of that was the auction house, and the ability to sell your car for as little or as much as you want. In addition to selling complete cars, selling paints and tunes through the storefront with the ability to set custom prices would be very welcome. There is no need for T10 to force a certain minimum and maximum price for items. The community will figure this out naturally, like they have in past games.

Banksystem

  • Transfer credits to other players. (Mainly for community members to send out competition prizes)

File transfer

  • Liveries, vinyls and tunes can be sent unlocked to other players.

Auction House

  • No limit on start price or buyouts, starting from 1000cr.
  • Time 2 -24 hours.

Storefront

  • Items sold: vinylgroups, liveries, tunes and complete cars.
  • Individual and shared storefronts.
  • Shared storefronts are connected to crews.
  • Any items sold on a shared storefront can have profits split between selected members.

This would be perfect. Bringing the community back, the return of Garages etc.

Would just like to add that it would be great if we had some kind of area to see which tunes have been sold/downloaded, rather than having to be in each individual car to see which tunes are the most popular.

I would also love to gift cars to friends like we could back in FM4

Agreed on all of that; would be similar to Forza Motorsport 4.

Whatever they have in mind is presumably already set and won’t change; we just need to wait and see what they’ve settled on.

Agree to 100%

+1. That would bring me back the Forza series.

Yes but please ditch the legendary painter bonus or make it very small. A return to having auctions like Deadlights would be amazing.

The economy setup in fm4 was very well balanced. Fm5 and 6 I don’t know what happened. Might as well start the game with 100mil in the bank and half the cars in your garage.
From fm5 where everyone seem to complain about cars being to expensive so they slash the prices. Then fm6 where they just shovel money down our throats. Hopefully they find the happy medium. I miss working toward saving enough to buy the car I have my eyes on. I have like 100 million billion trillion credits in fm6 and I don’t play fm6 half as much as I played fm4 and I have 10x the amount of credits. Cars are to cheap in fm6 for the amount of money they give us.

Be nice to have the options to buy in to a pro race lobby full simulation public or private . Each player pays 10 grand which goes to the pot maybe even put up cars or race suits. 15+laps Watkins glens or whatever track that would be exciting just to watch let alone race in. Anything is better then just giving us tons of money. We all become better racers, drifter, drag racer, painters, tuners if we have to work at it.

I do like the new change of cars only available through completing certain events and showcases. Reminds me of unicorns cars which was a lot of fun to collect. I never drove so many different cars in rivals trying to be fast enough to collect the monthly unicorn. I certainly found a new love for the Cadillac CTS in fm4 after driving it around Sonoma for a month to get a unicorn ahh the good times lol. Who knows maybe unicorns will be in career mode in fm7

Your suggestions were perfect, and spot-on!
If they announced these, I would be all-in on digital ultimate.
As it stands now overall, I’m very on the fence about buying any version at full price…

AMEN TO THAT!! That really would settle all of the auction house issues. The sad thing is that the game is most likely done and the coffin is closed so we will need to see what they chose on. I wish I had higher hopes for it, but I don’t think there will be any big changes in the auction house.

The way you want it’s chinese gold farmers heaven.

Why not just get rid of money and give cars as prizes for hitting certain milestones? You still progress towards a goal but if you’ve already unlocked a car you can have as many as you like. Plus, you can work towards the ones you want first and the ones you won’t use as much later. There can still be shared tunes and paints, but no money to be made or spent. I don’t see how making money advances these games in any way. I either have so much I’ll never spend it (forza 6) or not enough and stop playing (forza 5).

There can still be gifted cars, tunes, paints, and more. You just have to unlock the car by hitting a related milestone first. Like unlocking classic Aussie muscle cars by completing a Trans Am style race on Mt. Panorama. Or unlocking a Shelby Daytona Coupe by spec racing a 427 65 Shelby Cobra through vintage Shelby traffic on Watkins glen.

You get my idea? No need for money, just cleverly placed unlocks for 35% to 50% of the cars in the game. Still get a sense of accomplishment without worrying about someone spamming the gift system to give everyone $20,000,000 cars or not having enough to buy the car you want.

I thought I knew where you were going until the last paragraph. What happens to the other 50% of cars?

Half of the cars are always available, the other half are locked until a milestone is achieved.

I quite like this idea. Provided there’s nothing locked behind a limited time event.

I have to ask though, what about the rest of the cars in game? The other 50%?

There have to be some cars that are always available, I don’t know the perfect number to split it at but I would assume somewhere near half of the cars would always be available, or at least 1 or 2 from every division in the game (sports classic, muscle, exotic, GT3, etc.) Some people don’t want to invest 150 hours into the game to unlock everything so they need to have something to use without bending over backwards to get it.

Sorry guys this will most likeky never happen there is all ready a problem with a real cash comunity selling in game credits for real money in Horizon 3. The ability to gift cars or credits is to open to abuse by the greedy who will be selling cars and credits for real money.

So?

Report them to T10 and watch them get perma banned.

As of today there are 11 listings. Has anybody reported them? Also shows it’s only a handful of people actively doing this.

Let the inmates run the asylum… not usually a good idea. If we didn’t live in a world where in-game currency gets bought and sold for real money, being able to gift things to other players might be a nice idea. Because we do, it instead is sadly a step towards legitimizing that sort of business.

As for the Auction House - like most player markets, it’s a hive of profiteering scum and villainy. It’s not as much of an issue in Forza as, say, a gear based MMORPG, but my unpopular solution in either case would be to have set values for everything that can be sold and to then limit the sale price range to maybe 50-200% of that value. But in Forza it doesn’t really matter to me either way.

Ah, the good ole days of FM2…

But seriously, they really were fun. It was like Dodge City, 1880. Anything went.

And that was the problem. Massive credit glitching. Credits being sold on E-Bay, also glitched. All feeding in to egos on the forums and causing endless arguments.

If you bring back credit transfers between players you will inevitably bring back all the bad with good. There was a lot of good. People did fantastic work and got paid handsomely for it. A lot of people, a lot more than now. The forums were vastly busier. People got recognition.

But underneath it all was cheated credits which rewarded everyone but the honest and unknowing.

I personanlly would like to credits disappear, they no longer serve a function except to slow down progress in the game and after a while they become pointless, at least in 5 and 6. Other than to sell tokens.

You cant have both credit exchanges in the game AND have T10 sell tokens, unless you want another E-Bay market to start up again.

With a good, FM4 style storefront, you dont need an auction house. All you are getting in an AH is a tune and a paint anyway, which you can now get easier from a storefront.

But who knows. Until the game gets released we wont know any of the details. But half-measures rarely work, you either need the full freedom of FM2 ( minus the glitching and good luck with that ) or you should basically have players isolated credit-wise. Mix and match it up and you get all of the problems and none of the benefits.

I dont see vinyl groups being unlocked either, between the porn problem of FM2 and the pirating of 3 and 4, just dont see it happening. Hopefully there is some way for the artists to collaborate easier.
