The Economy Needs Some Work

Honestly I’m not one to complain about Forza games. I’ve been playing them since the first one and usually just accept the flaws as the game’s distinct personality. But there’s a first time for everything and seeing this is also my first time posting on a Forza forum feel free to let me know if I’m approaching this incorrectly. But I truly feel that the prices of the cars compared to the amount of money we receive each race is totally out of wack. Not to mention the prices of the cars simply make no sense…example the brand new BMW X6M is going for over $400,000 while the 1970’s BMW 3.0 CSL Race Car is worth less than $200,000.

Facepalm.

I’m not sure who thought that made any type of sense but I believe the varying prices need another look. And Going back to what I first mentioned, the economy is simply ridiculous. I won a ten minute long race against 24 drivatars and won $8,000 yet you want me to spend 3-4 times the real world price of every car in the entire game? Garbage.

Please Turn 10, let’s not repeat what we did with Forza 5.

deleted my comment, the forza website is so broken at the moment that I posted that as a forum and it went under yours as a reply. Jesus.

The admins/mods move posts to similar threads that have already been created. Was your thread similar to this one? If so, that’s why.

So I recently foundout you can turn settings to longer races in the career. I set it to “Long” and proceeded to do a 17 lap race in my Golf R (which costed somewhere around $60,000) and I finish to only get $23,000. Now let’s take this into consideration, the cars are overpriced as all hell, why is an R34 $200,000? Basically I need to spend 2 hours racing to even afford an R34 let alone the money to mod one. Also VIP now is useless, wow I make money for a few races and nothing else after.

First off they take community feedback into account and change things. Second…using the rewards in the Forza app or on this site you can earn free money like every 4 days.

In f5,6 Horizon 2 & 3 and even already in 6 after only 4 races I already have a ton of money.

Turn off assists, turn up Drivatar difficulty and use rewards. You always ALWAYS end up with more than you could ever spend. Plus as you level up in game you earn more money and discounts on vehicles.

The auction house is also a great way to earn free money. I grabbed every one of the fast and furious cars which were free and will auction them. I can still get them later and they aren’t expensive.

Also keep in mind if you buy a car from a race menu it might already be upgraded so it’s competitive in that class. Homologation.

“using the rewards in the Forza app or on this site you can earn free money like every 4 days.” Are you talking about the loyalty rewards? I thought they were given once a week?

Just follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGmqPvC5AVk Three lots of 1 lap races of the airfield track in the RAM Runner FE, with the tune titled ‘TRM MONEY’ will get you 60k, as long as you choose the credits option.

And look what happened with Forza 5
They changed it because of complaints and the economy became a joke
After a month credits were pointless and everything was bought
Even worse with forza 6

Agreed, the e36 is $90k wtf? The only reason I can see this being for is because of how popular the car is,it was the same with FH3,basically they’re punishing us for buying popular cars.

What drivatar difficulty are you facing? A normal 2-3 lap race on single player gets me about 20k while I’m facing unbeatable AIs. There’s also mods to take into account, as well as the driver level-up rewards. You won’t get too far if you don’t build up a car collection.

Not everyone is a driver who can beat unbeatable drivatars. I am a casual gamer and can’t beat drivatars which gave extra CR. In FM6 I got extra CR by not using assists, that option is gone now.
I don’t mind using mods, however, the crates aren’t cheap. I really don’t see why Turn 10 made the economy like this, not everyone is able to beat unbeatable drivatars.

You don’t have to beat them, just drive against them. You should easily get 7th to 12th places. So progression through the career will be slower but you will still progress.

Whatever 40% is and I’m using the cheaper mods which do little to nothing as I’m going to save the VIP mods for endurance racing because it seems like the only logical way to get money. I’m almost level 4 car collector.

No money for mods in endurance races use them in regular career or private enduros.

Haven’t played FM7 yet, picked it up last night at 9pm, installed the 60gb update then went to bed, just go done eating diner so have a long night ahead of me. If what you are saying is true I will be happy, I actually like having something to look forward to and trying to save up credits to buy the cool cars. The last several Forza games credits have been handed out like candy and within about a day you can buy any car you want. I am assuming this one is the same so I won’t be disappointed if credits are easy to get but if the cars are actually stupidly over priced and the payouts are TOO low I will be happy.

Same here! Forza 6 I had millions and millions of credits, I didn’t even pay any attention and just bought whatever I want. I am really enjoying the way Forza 7 is setup. I have to carefully consider what car I want to buy next, maybe do a few races to afford it, etc

Can’t stress that enough. At every levelup get the car. Do all showcases first. Don’t buy crates. When you are at tier 5 you can relax and get the money if you want. Or work towards tier 8, which I guess is the final tier. Afterwards your levelup rewards are maxed out.

For race credits go to Unbeatable, you only have to finish a race and get double credits.

Perfectly stated!

they want you to earn more CR by using ‘mods’ which are based on RNG loot boxes which you pay with CR in the first place. hehehehe… -sigh-

Come on guys, the game just launched. Did you expect to buy everything right away. T10 has always set things up for the long run. Sure the prices are a bit much, but with Forza Rewards every week and Forzathon which gives prizes and xp things will get better.
