i normally don’t race online, but if there were spec races i would be tempted to.

It’s about time. No mention of penalties so that isn’t so good. Hopefully corner cutting will not get you promoted this time especially in ghost.

MAJOR red flag right there. Simple way around this would be to make the ghost races about getting the best lap time, which means that only clean laps count. I’d much rather face someone Forza-cleaning a track like hockenheim than someone absolutely butchering Yas Marina.

Also, because this is Turn 10, PLEASE MAKE SURE FRICTION ASSIST IS FORCED OFF IN ALL DIVISIONS, EVEN GRASSROOTS. [

oh wow I can’t wait!

Does anyone have any idea what it takes to get the BMW Z8? Is it a number or race events participated in?

Wonderful. More locked cars…

The cars are already locked this is just another way to unlock them no?

Look forward to trying the league’s out personally.

Eh, true.

It’s just annoying me that to be able to get cars in a game designed around car collecting I need to play on a certain schedule rather than playing when I actually want to.

Yeah true I don’t really let it bother me tbh. Similar with Forzathon I’ve had no interest in doing them so far but I’m not really going to get upset about missing out on a few cars. I guess that’s the benefit of having 600+ other cars to choose from. I can 100% see your point though.

This

As someone who rather avoid any online racing, having cars locked away due to requiring online participation is a bit rediculious. Credits, badges, suits, fine. But cars? Come on turn10, I do hope to see other ways to get these cars outside of online racing.

I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Just wait for forzathons or specialty dealer if you don’t like leagues…
Ah right there’s the ah!

Hopefully they can be sold at the AH… They won’t be worth much if they end up not being competitive.

I don’t get it. Does the band you’re in reset after eaxh season?

At least it seems different enough from FM6 to try it and you get rewarded for passing a ton of cars if you have to start in the back. That’s a nice touch.

I am glad to see the ghost league is returning. In Forza 6, I almost always played in ghost league in order to avoid car to car collision. In return, simulation damage would be on So if you wrecked your car, you would have to stop to get it fixed.
Sometimes, expert drivers like members of DTM, GTR, ERS, LMR, EMW, JSR and RBM would join us.

Turn 10 has also fixed / blocked all those corners people would use to get ahead of others… For example, the first right turn at Indianapolis, the last corner at SPA, the last corner at Sebring before the final straight away, YAS Marina ( to some extend ) and those two Corners at Le Mans are all fixed in Forza 7. :grinning:

The game has definitely matured.

Don’t mean to be that guy but there’s no mention of penalties for corner cutting and ramming (not in ghost league obviously) or any mention of spectator mode.

Still, I’m looking forward to trying this out this year, sounds like an improvement on FM6.

Anything but fixed I’m afraid. You can still cut those corners while not extreme like in FM6 there’s still a small gap that people exploit at every opportunity. Which is why penalties are still needed.

I agree with a penalty system. Another way to counter that is not to get mad at those who go above and beyond to cut corners. Just pretend they aren’t even in the race.

Looks Great! I loved leagues in FM6, just can’t wait to start

This is great! looks like a big step forward for Leagues, which quickly became my favorite MP in FM6.

Multiple skill bands to fill up lobbies will be interesting. Hopefully we’ll have leagues where the regulars help one another improve. That was one of the real joys in FM6 leagues.

So no penalties of any sort after the mention of it being in the game pre launch? Or will they say that there are penalties but only for those that quit mid race? Very disappointed by that. Just hope the horrible barriers that have been added to the tracks mentioned in the post a few above mine do their job.

Still sounds interesting so will give this a look however due to my current schedule I’m only able to play for maybe 4 hours a week. Real life always gets in the way of the fun stuff!
