Touché :joy:

I think this thread is a perfect example of why nothing changes

And i think this thread was just a blatant attempt to curry favour by white knighting an issue that had already been addressed.

feels more ignored than addressed

No, and they continue to work on it. Despite what people think its not just a case of running a script to delete the obvious cheated times, if you do that all you do is encourage the folks taking advantage to be more discreet in their cheating, rather than post a time of 3 seconds they post a fake time that just puts them in the top 10 etc

The only real way to fix the problem is to tackle it at its core and prevent the cheats from being able to log any dodgy times and that is why I believe its taking so long
but the latest news we have had is that they are close.

WSD it would be nice if players on these forums could discuss issues, features and the like without moderators directing the conversation as they see fit.

Anon, im sure youd like to carry on as you see fit however these forums will be continue to be moderated whether you like it or not

Hey WSD I follow the rules on these forums more so then yourself. But that’s not what I’m saying. What I’m saying is leave the discussions to us players and focus on moderating.

erm, i think youll find im just as much of a player as you and am entitled to my own opinions whether you like them or not and while Im sure you think you follow the rules your constant snide and sarcastic comments would beg to differ otherwise.

So just like yourself ill join any discussion i like thanks very much

I’m going to be real with you, man. I’ve read this several times, and the entire thing, particularly this section:

well, it reads like SOP is “Wait until the problem can’t be hidden by a Google search anymore, and then schedule it to be analyzed. Maybe. Eventually. Possibly, three generations from now.” That’s
not good.

[Mod edit - WSD - Moderation policy is not up for discussion, if you feel you have an issue then feel free to follow the correct procedures]

Remember “I don’t care to “discuss” this matter any further with you” ? thats a two way thing  however should you feel the need to address me feel to do so by PM as im done wasting time in this ‘thread’

This is a good post and I don’t think anyone would challenge most of it. I would make two points though:

  1. PGG have already apparently implemented fixes to a couple of issues which have led to the large amount of broken rivals times. A one-off clearance of those times, which as you say should be the easy part, would clear vast amounts of invalid times. I suspect any further dodgy times would be much more limited;

  2. Whilst development may be a slow process, there’s clear QOL issues with rivals that can be fixed with relatively little effort. Even fm7, a very old game now, can tell us which tune people used to set a time. Is it really going to be that difficult to allow us to change car or select a different rival without exiting the event completely and starting again? Even if it doesn’t get improved in fh5, it’s worth us raising in the hope it may at least get improved in Fh6.

No I don’t feel the need to address you personally. Nor do I have any issues with you. But if I did I would definitely go above you to get them resolved. At the end of the day all I care about is this game.

makes use of the personal reply button to say they dont need to reply personally
