I logged onto forza 6 today after finishing a long day of work only to realize I have been banned (50 something hours remaining) for an unknown reason. I have not played since Sunday the 10th and I don’t use a microphone or send any messages so I’m obviously confused and frustrated as to why.
Now I am not the type to voice my concerns on forums for video games, and with my complete lack of technological skills even creating a post was difficult . However I was especially angry to discover this ban on the eve of a planned ‘staycation’ from work. I planned on doing little else than playing forza online and now that cannot happen, again for an unknown reason. Moreover I am a forza VIP who has poured hundreds of hours and dollars into the forza franchise. I am a huge race fan who appreciates clean racing and I always try to race as clean as I can.
I am posting with little confidence that I will receive a legitimate response but I thought it was worth a shot. If you have any thoughts on the matter or could at least offer some clarification I would greatly appreciate it.
Yeah they seem pretty quick to ban people for no reason and not give any explanation (spend $10AU on there game then next day get banned. good business lads) Went on tonight to race with my league and found the same thing
answer would be just great.
Yes, items depicted on your livery like a life-sized male body part without clothing and a two words (not the real one, obviously, because that’s also what got you the ban) of “Runt Slayer!” used in online races, shall definitely get a pretty quick ban but for violations of the Xbox Live Code of Conduct:
"CONTENT IN XBOX LIVE
What is considered content in Xbox Live?
Content is anything you create, share, use, or promote that another person could see or hear or otherwise experience, like Gamertags, profile information, in-game content, and videos.
What are examples of content that is prohibited in Xbox Live?
(Note: the examples below are just a few examples of Content prohibited by the Microsoft Code of Conduct. Just because something isn’t on this list doesn’t mean it’s OK.)
Content that is controversial. For example:
Sexual, provocative, pornographic, or adult content
Violent content
Controversial religious content
Anything involving notorious people or organizations
Anything involving sensitive events, current or historical"
Turn 10 employees administer the rules based on evidence, not “no reason.” Neither bans nor their enforcement of the regulations are discussed on these forums. You may send an email to them at forzafb@microsoft.com. You will receive an automated response which includes links to various information (such as these forums). That indicates your message has been received.
Legitmate Response: Unsportsmanlike conduct for deliberately crashing other people in online races, which is a violation of the Xbox Live Code of Conduct.
Those people being wrecked, having their racing ruined, have also spent . . . well, you have the expenses, etc., noted already. The 50-some hours is the remaining time of seven days (168 hours) from the time a Turn 10 employee determined your behavior and gave you that vacation earned from the game.
Either bans nor the enforcement of the regulations are discussed on these forums. You may send an email to Turn 10 at forzafb@microsoft.com, but with your countdown clock so low, your time out from the online racing will expire probably prior to receiving an answer.
Would’ve been very happy to delete said images if warned can’t even do that now
had no idea
155 hours is a bit harsh for a first offense without any warning
but fair cop I guess
I suggest you read up on the Xbox Live Code of Conduct (previously linked twice in this thread). You, me and everyone else on Xbox Live has that information, agreed to that information before we were allowed to create an account. Those are the rules on Xbox Live.
A first-time ban is seven days or 168 hours from the time placed by a Turn 10 employee. You’re seeing the countdown clock on the time left before the ban expires. A second ban is 30 days (720 hours) and third, 20 years (permanent).
