Not sure if this has been reported before, if so - pls can someone direct me to the appropriate thread.
We have a number of profiles set up on our Xbox One, for different members of the family. My profile is the one that actually purchases all the DLC. The others then share the content. Thats how its supposed to work right? I purchased the car passes for both FM5 and FH2 from when they were first available.
My son plays FH2 a lot. But we have recently (perhaps since the latest update?) experienced some strange behaviour with regard to DLC content.
When I go into my Autoshow, all the DLC cars show as available to purchase for “FREE”.
When my son goes into his autoshow, only the cars he has already purchased come up as ‘FREE’. Cars that he does not yet have, require in game credits or tokens to acquire.
The in-game menu confirms that the car-pass is ‘Installed’.
I tried going into ‘manage game’ via the Xbox One menu and manually ‘Installed’ each of the packs and cars, and then restarted FH2, but this made no difference.
Any ideas as to why this is happening and how to fix it?
That is correct - only the purchaser of the DLC gets the cars for free (one time only) - all others have access but have to use in game credits to purchase them every time.
OK so I just re-read the blurb from the car-list sticky thread and it says this:
“Secondary profiles on a shared Gold console will be able to access DLC cars in the game without purchasing the pack, but gamesave benefits may only be available to the account that purchased the pack. As a result, secondary profiles may not have the one-time-for-free tag for DLC cars and may need to use credits to transfer the cars to their in-game garage.”
Why “may” only be available to the account that purchased the pack? This implies that sometimes they are available for free and sometimes not. Under what condition are they available for free purchase and under what circumstances are they not available?
