That’s nice and all Dragnet but I don’t think it’s me
Considering it includes the expansion pass this time around it’s definitely worth it.
To me its worth it. I preordered the other day and cannot wait to play on Friday. Pulling an allnighter for it.
with all the content you get including VIP which gives you x2 bonus all car packs included and both DLCs when they get released I think it is 100% worth it
Well, I really REALLY like the Z8, and this time the first 2 expansions come with the Ultimate edition. Which is huge savings. I never bought the Horizon 3 DLCs because I didn’t see the value in spending that $40. It didn’t have enough content where it was worth spending almost another brand new game price on. Given what I got for Horizon 3’s Ultimate Edition, this years has to be one of the best they have ever came out with. Which in itself was worth buying. They brought back my Z4mc and I promised on this forum if they ever did that I would preorder Ultimate… And I keep my word. This year was easily the best year to swallow the ultimate pill though. I got good enjoyment out of FH3 but the map really held the game back. I stopped playing that game for a while because I constantly found myself bored with it. This year even playing the Demo I don’t want to stop driving. Feels to me already that this game will have much more playability for my drive style on the base map, not even taking into factor of the next two DLC’s…
It really just comes down to this. If you plan on playing this game primarily for the next 6 months+ than get Ultimate Edition. If you plan on buying all the DLC at one point, than I recommend buying Ultimate and enjoying it with everyone else when it initially launches, rather than waiting for a year to MAYBE get a discount. If you plan on booting up Horizon 4 once a month or less. Than stick with base or get game pass.
I’m on pc and had preordered the ultimate edition way before the demo was released. Had no issues with the demo, no crashes etc.
Yeah, I too Pre Ordered the ultimate edition for the Xbox One X on my HDR UHD TV it is just sublime and I actually stop to look at the views (Demo Version) and being from England, I recognise all the details which makes it even better on the subject of Ultimate Edition, it’s probably the best valued game with bundled content I have ever seen in all my years playing games I got mine for £100 of ebay ( I wanted the physical copy because I’m old fashioned) and even though, I paid over the odds, I think I have made such a massive saving rather than buying the base version and buying everything separate like I did for FH3 and that was when some things were discounted and I still feel like it came to well over 100 quid so I was personally not passing up on the Ultimate edition and I think that’s what ultimate editions of games should be, they should have everything.
Just a brief mention of PC players, I know I cannot comment from first hand experience as my rig would never run it on even medium settings but I have read absolutely everywhere that the demo runs super smooth and they even fixed a few issues recently when they released the patch for the demo which makes me thing when the full game launches even more will be fixed.
So all in all, I say defo go for it. remember, we’re likely not to see another Horizon game until 2020 so this has a lot of life in it.
plus the first car pass cars which I will get for free includes the Koenigsegg Agera RS in the very first week of launch.
