Are we ripped off or what?

So i had forza horizon 3 since 23rd September as its ultimate ed and i goto to the store to redeem my ah vip, car pack, and car pass then something gets my attention EXPANSION PASS what the hell? I just paid $140 for a god damn game that is supposed to have everything and you want to hit us another $40-80 for the expansion.

Doesnt work like that, understandable standard and vip editions of the game yeah ok charge them but for ultimate owners its just a giant screw you i feel ripped off i dont even know why i bought the game for now. Its pointless trying to get t10 to notice though.

Nobody ever promised that the Ultimate Edition was “supposed to have everything you want.” Logically if the expansions were included then the combo price would be significantly higher than the Ultimate bundle is now, which would price out a lot of players. The a la carte method allows players to decide which DLC they want.

And in fact Ultimate owners benefit because "Ultimate Edition owners will receive a discount of $10 on the Expansion Pass if purchased before the end of 2016. " (U.S. pricing obviously)

Then if i had of known this i would of bought vip ed as it has car pass and vip exact same as ultimate except a car pack $140 for a $99 game…not adding up

The car pass is the whole reason for the Ultimate Edition and is a good deal if you play a lot of Forza. Forza DLC isn’t like DLC for other games. They have to put in the work to create the cars, and they have to pay to license the cars. It’s been like this for every Forza game.

Why would anyone spend $140 on a game without looking what they were paying for? You seem to be aware that the only difference between the Deluxe and Ultimate editions is the car pass. What did you think the car pass was?

you mean like how they were all “built from the ground up” yet still had the same problems with the UV mapping that persisted through several games?

No, but generally the highest tier of a game package includes everything. While that clearly isn’t the case for Forza, it really should be. A Complete Edition would be nice, including everything in the Ultimate Edition would be even nicer.

Ultimate Edition: $99.99

Expansion Pass: Roughly $35.–

About $140 or so, maybe 150 if you add in tax.

This is around what I have/will be spending on FH 3 in the near future.

Looking back at previous Forzas . . . Forza 4 in particular, I bought literally everything for that game. Probably dropped roughly $200 on it.

I had no complaints about that game then, and have no complaints about this game now.

I don’t see why people won’t read the freakin’ fine print on things.

Exactly my point right here they offer a discount for something that should of been included with the hefty price tag

It is very misleading overcharging customers and consumers a $20-30 price difference im sure if i was to goto to the aus forza community of people who just paid $140 for the game will also agree that the total cost of this game being close to $180 is also a bit steep

I had the same reaction you did. I was thinking no F’n way theyre gonna try to get me to buy something else? WHAT IS THIS EXPANSION BS???

I’m not gonna buy it until I know what it is. I didnt care for the Storm Island in the last one. Anyone have any details?

If you paid $140 for the Ultimate Edition you got screwed. It is only $99.

Considering eb games have it for the same price microsoft does at $139.95 rounded up $140

Regarding the dollar discrepancy I believe they are quoting US dollars and you are using Aussie dollars. They simply didn’t realise that.

Actually, it works exactly like that. They can release as many pay dlc expansions as they like. For example, the Ultimate Car Pass only gets you 6 months worth of cars, as clearly stated. What did you think was going to happen for the other 6 months of cars? They listed EXACTLY what you were getting with the Ultimate Edition. You decided it was worth paying the $140 for. You got what you paid for. That is all there is. End of.
There is no ‘should have been included’, that’s just pure entitlement at it’s finest. As others have said, it was never stated that Ultimate got you everything or that it included more dlc than was listed. You don’t like it? Tough.
If you feel the price tag of Ultimate plus the Expansion Pass is too high then don’t buy the Expansion Pass. It’s that simple. Nobody is forcing you to get it. This is all on you. You don’t have to pay anymore than what you’ve already paid. Or are you one of those people who (incorrectly) think that games creators magically ‘force’ you to buy dlc. LOL

Yes but for any one to take any notice someone has to say something then everyone else has their own interpretations im not saying i should be entitled to it im saying ULTIMATE OWNERS ONLY as a whole as they have paid the
large sum of money and this is what ticks me off about companies like T10 and even Activision have done the same its a simple screw what the consumers want we want money cause where money hungry is all its starting to seem like i mean hey T10 if you want money that bad try expanding your horizons to other consoles ie psn as you have already done it with PC SO much for the XBOX EXCLUSIVE

Ultimate edition is $99.99

OH LOOK $139.95

You don’t have to buy any of this. You didn’t even have to buy this game. Stop your complaining.

There is no VIP edition but if you’re talking about Deluxe, which doesn’t have the Car Pass, that’s a $30 (U.S.) DLC bundle, not just one car pack.

You expect them to do a lot of coding and just throw that in for free?

Ok so let me get this straight then its $99.95 for standard deluxe is what $120- $130 then ultimate for $139.95 this not looking good at all…then WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM…NOTHING

The difference between Ultimate and Deluxe is the Car Pass. The Deluxe edition does not contain the car pass. That’s why it is $30 more, the price of the car pass.
