I can truly understand you. Especially because those People flood the Forum with their threads and those who have real problems are lost.
All my progress is lost since I updated and I am waiting for a moderation of a thread and an answer to my pm since yesterday. Just think those few moderators can’t handle all those posts. And after the fifth user crying about cars or dlc’s im really getting angry… because some of us need real help.
Thumbs up to PG and T10 for this amazing game anyway!
Completely agree.
I said this in another thread that everyone knew what was included in the Ultimate edition way before the game was released. They were happy paying that price and they bought it. That’s all there is to it. At no point did it say ALL future content would be included, at no point did it say ‘everything’ or any words similar to that. Whether people personally like the idea of dlc or not, it is the way things are done these days and they can always opt out. Nobody is making anyone buy anything. They can buy their choice of base game and stick with that.
There’s a well known YT’er (I won’t name them) who really does like FH3 but it seems like every video he finds something to pick on or whinge about and that includes the Expansion Pass. Maybe they are just doing it to get views but it’s bad practice and only leads to generating more whingers.
The whole situation perfectly fits the term ‘entitled’.
Unfortunately it seems to be the way that portions of society are going, not just in the Forza or gaming world either. The internet has given everybody a global voice and ‘this’ is what they do with it.
Yup, pure entitlement. The game itself has 350+ cars out of the box already. Does 7 more or even 50 more appearing in a DLC pack really make the difference between “I love this game and got what I paid for” and “THIS IS SUCH A SCAM I WANT A REFUND NOW”
People fail to grasp that they had the game done waaay before release - It would be nice to hear from T10 about how much the production and release schedules are usually offset (and in general, it would be really cool to have a better insight on the production process of these games!)… But if I had to guess I’d say people were already playing with a finished pre-release build of Horizon 3 in July.
It’s also really funny that people complain about the game “not being finished” because it doesn’t include cars added by the October pack. What does it make “not finished”, then? Those cars weren’t part of the officially announced car list, and the game had already 350 cars at launch - far more than any other car game available for the current gen, bar Forza Motorsport titles. They were, however, included in an offer which clearly stated there were going to be 6 monthly packs, starting from October.
If anything, I would’ve started to feel scammed if a DLC didn’t come out yesterday.
It’s great to hear that I’m not alone in this. I mean playground seems to have really listened to the comunity on making horizon 3. We have the auction house back+, we have personal plates they are going to give people a chance to get the S14 thst everybody seems to be unable to live without for some reason…
They are doing one hell of a job with this game and yet I’ve never seen this may complaints and entitled posts on the forum as there is now.
I just don’t get it and like was said before. “It over floods the forum”
it would be sad if this is what the makers and mods see as the general opinion about this awesome game.
I agree that the people who bought the Ultimate Edition without reading the contents and then whining about the fact there’s more DLC on top of it are plain stupid and annoying. That said I can’t help but feel that the sum financial value of all the DLC’s with objectively less content being more expensive than the retail game at launch is not reasonable. I have no problem with paying for DLC but it has to be reasonably priced. Right now I think ALL developers/publishers are overcharging for their DLC when you compare what’s in them with the base game.
Although I will say that if you keep in mind the work /licencing etc . That goes in making a car appear in forza
( playground games/turn 10 please make a 10 minute video about this process so we can see why dlc costs what it costs it would help end so many arguments on here)
I think 3 bucks is not that bad per car and per pack at one dollar per car it’s not a bad pricing imo
Fair point, but for me I buy based on content and pay accordingly. I grew up on RPG’s that gave hundreds of hours for the asking price and since then I don’t buy your average FPS on release because I know the content isn’t there to back up the asking price. I had no issue with paying £50 (that’s more than any other PC game at launch for a standard edition) because I know there’s plenty of content to be had, but in my opinion the DLC is overpriced; Horizon 2’s DLC’s totalled over £100 when I worked it out after I got the game, when I bought the game for £20. Even if I’d had an Xbox One for the launch and paid £40 I couldn’t warrant that much money for the content provided.
I bought the Ultimate Edition of Forza Motorsport 6, at launch, for $100. I also bought the Porsche expansion, and the NASCAR expansion, for $20 each. I also bought 1 car pack after the car pass, so I’ve spent just under $150 on FM6 alone (for simplicity’s sake, we’ll round it to $150).
Now, that’s a lot of money, without a doubt. However, I have spent 232 hours playing FM6 over the last year, which works out to about $0.65 an hour. And I’m not done playing it yet. Even with the cost of DLC, these games are a tremendous value, given the amount of content you get for your money.
You’re right, they are fantastic value for money in the long run. Like I said I had no issue paying more money than any other PC launch title for the base version of Horizon 3 because there’s plenty of content for the money. The thing for me is that I’m likely to get less time out of a Forza Horizon game than say an Elder Scrolls or Fallout game; now that’s just my personal preference of genre at play, but the fact for me is that at £60 - £80 for the game and all DLC’s those two series have more value than Forza Horizon at £100+. All this said I’m actually really getting into Forza Horizon 3, more so than the first or second. If that keeps going I can see myself eventually buying some DLC for it; I guess I’ve just been spoiled with the cost/hour ratios I get out of other series.
ULTIMATE edition I knew the season pass wasn’t included so never bothered with it but some ppl would see the name for it and think it is included shocking I know. Its like how Definitive means so many different things now when it comes to “remasters” which in itself means different things now lol
The Expansion Pass anouncement was put out there a little early. I felt it was in bad taste for those who spent $100.00 on the Ultimate Edition and a week after launch, here, spend another 29 for the expansion.
Poor taste. They could have waited a few weeks for that announcement.
As to the cars. Besides the usual, I feel the car selection really kind of blows starting out this time around. Though I am glad they’ve got the Mad Max “Interceptor” vehicle in there. I haven’t seen a spot on livery for it.
I’m also disappointed in the size of the outback. lol. Talk about small. I expected it to be much larger. But otherwise the game is good, despite some glitches here and there.
The fact that there are NO Porsches in the game tells me that they are going to do another Posche expansion like they did with Forza 6. Forza 6’s porsche expansion was nice for the cars, but the content itself was kind of meh.
Last thing: I haven’t been impressed with the weather system in the game. Where are all these great lightning storms? They sent a team out into the outback and that team recorded hundreds of hours of weather patterns to make the game as real as possible and I think so far that was a poor investment.
I agree that the outback is not as big as expected but it’s still bigger then horizon 2 and more open . It hasn’t felt old yet to me anyways.
But how is it a problem to spend an extra 30 on the pass now or spend 30 extra when you bought the game? Both times its 30 bucks. Even more so I think ultimate edition owners get a 10 dollar discount on the Expansion Pass.
I really fail to see why anybody would be angry about this xD it’s just recreational outrage to me
I never buy DLC unless its heavy discounted and even then I pause, I picked up the FH2 Storm island? I think it is for a few pounds, expansion so close to release = paying for content twice that should been on the disc imo, I’m old school in that way I don’t get the whole pay more for a game for smaller bits of it I really don’t. It would been better or easier to understand if the content was out in December or 2017 but a few weeks after launch? Its a bit greedy for lack of a better word.
100% agreed. I hope the devs reads this so they know that there are allot of people who enjoy their effort to make a great open world experience with allot of great cars and beautiful scenery
