The ultimate edition does not claim to cover car packs that might come out after the season pass ends (odds are there will likely be 2 or 3) nor does it claim to cover the expansions.

It’s not false advertisement if the product description clearly states what you’re buying.

It’s not T10/playgrounds fault you failed to read/comprehend a product description that was clearly written as to what was included.

There’s a second car pass?

The Ultimate Edition never included the Expansion pass. The Car pass specifically states it only covers the first 6 packs, there will not be a second car pass.

There is no false advertisement anywhere, you got exactly what you paid for.

Why can’t people do their research before buying a product… it does not say anywhere that the expansion pass came with the Ultimate edition, and there is only ever ONE car pass for a typical Forza game.

Judging from your attitude… you’re better off selling the game to someone who will make better use of it.

If you believed that all car packs and all expansions were included with the Uktimate Edition, then you did not bother to read the VERY SPECIFIC description of what the Ultimate Edition included. It was clearly spelled out, and your accusation of false advertising is blatantly untrue. You have absolutely no ground to stand on here. Your claim that you were promised all the car packs and expansions is, frankly, dishonest.

I’ve got back and done some research on it and yes I am wrong. But what I’m not wrong about is the obserdly gross price tag that’s on everything. £80 here, £40 there…this is becoming a very expensive game to play…and that’s going the same for all games now days.

Seriously is this like the third game people are shouting about the ultimate edition and the car pass. Dang people need to learn to read before they buy it. It must be really tiring to explain it game after game.

This is a pc-gamer i think - in pc-gaming “ultimate” means you get EVERYTHING. And, to be honest, they dont read. Look at pc-gamers-forums and you clearly see.

Thats the same peolpe who cry “but my rig was 1500 bucks, why cant i run all maxed out???!!!”
Yeah, dude, your rig was 1500 bucks 3 years ago. Now its a potato.

Well, except that the base game is completely playable as it shipped. You did not even need the ultimate edition. The add ons give you more to play with, but you would have been just fine with the base (ie non-Ultimate) version, and you do not need the DLC nor the expansion packs. That is why they are add ons.

Given the number of hours of enjoyment the Forza games give me, I think if anything, it is underpriced in terms of value per hours played.

Haha, then I guess the version with all expansions will be called Super Ultimate Edtion?
Truly retarded, this game is so expensive AND still we will not get every single expansion even though this version is called the Ultimate Edition.
I guess someone in T10/Playground doesn’t understand the meaning of word ULTIMATE.
This is not false advertising, it’s a simple ding dong kong move.

EDIT: WOAH, Ultimate Edition owners will get a discount but only if they preorder expansions before 2016 ends! What a greedy company

See, you get where I’m coming from

I don’t see what the big deal is. The car packs usually have 1 car people want and 4-5 cars that nobody cares about. With the auction house, chances are you’ll end up with the car you want out of the car pack after march anyway.

Although I do agree, the milking of gamers after a game is released is becoming blatantly greedy.

You cant buy/use cars from auction house that are in a carpack you dont have

While I knew what was included in the Ultimate Edition, I can’t help feeling that the announcement of the Expansion Pass coming right after the release for the Ultimate Edition feels a bit shady. What does grind my gears though, is the “Half the Car Pass” which really should include all the car packs, rather than just the first 6. A lot of this is very misleading names. From the outside looking in, without prior knowledge of how this company does it’s DLC’s, people would think that the Ultimate Edition would include EVERYTHING, and that the Car Pass would include all DLC cars.

What can I say? Ten years ago if a version of the game was called “Definitive/Ultimate” Edition you would get every expansion/dlc etc.
Times has changed. We have to get used to it even though it’s hard.
No demos, no trials and buffed up E3 trailers.
Nowadays buying a game is like buying a pig in a poke.

Also as far as I remember, Ultimate Editions of older Forzas also didn’t include EVERY SINGLE expansion/dlc/car.
It’s all about company’s altitude towards customers. Obviously, when I look at Horizon 3, the devs don’t give a damn about customers. Money is all that matters. Why do you thing they fix the problems? Because they don’t want refunds - that’s why.

Imagine if T10/PG would be like CD Project Red. Damn, this would be hell of game with ALL DLC with one price tag.

Agreed, they really need to make a “Complete Edition” or raise the price of the Ultimate Edition a little and include everything. If you keep nickel and diming your customers, eventually they’ll get wise to what you’re doing, leaving you with no customers at all.

Why not just buy all the other DLC as it comes and pretend its part of the ‘Ultimate’ price?

Anything else just reeks of entitlement to have everything just for the sake of having everything.

I fail to see how it “reeks of entitlement”. Nor do I feel like wanting to have everything after paying a large sum for a game is a bad thing.

As for the first part, I generally don’t get DLC if it isn’t included in an purchasable version of the game. Just my way of “talking with my wallet” when it comes to DLC practices. Not like anything will be done about it since a vast majority of people will still buy it anyway. But oh well.

Edit: The only time I’ll buy a season pass is if it’s a game I definitely like, and only if the pass contains all the DLC.
