Is this something we should be concerned about? (Please have Official Staff Clarification) [Solved]

So with the recent update we had got a new vinyl tool allowing us to choose how much our vinyls are matte or gloss… well it has been discovered that the tool can actually allow for the deepest tones of blacks in the game. The question about is if someone were to report the paint for how unusual it looks. What will happen? As far as I know, it doesn’t break the Terms of Service at all, it abides the painting rules, and has no in game modifications whatsoever. Just due to how unique the car looks I am worried someone would report it as a hacked paint or some sort of thing. It really does look stunning and would love to share a paint revolving around it but would hate for my work to get someone in trouble. I do not think I should discuss in depth with the community how it works here (just in case its a gray area and something new that is going to be added to the paint rules) but no game modifications had occurred. If any official staff want to communicate about what exactly is done here to achieve this with the paint I would love to talk to them about it. (My xbox is the same as here, discord or even the message center here). I just want to have confirmation written in stone that it is okay to drive or design around this paint layout. As well as it being safe to upload and share. If it is completely safe I will discuss here how it is done. I just prefer official communication first. I know I could create a ticket but would rather speak to the staff as a whole and hopefully get this shared around multiple staff as where tickets are generally revolved around a single staff member. Thank you all for reading as its pretty much a book.

P.s. the hood is carbon fiber so the paint setup doesn’t apply to it.

I fully trust the support team, but you have to admit that the way the paint looks is not natural. At first glance without understanding what is going on here… its easy to immediately assume that this is some sort of cheat. Which I will never do as Forza is something I had loved all the way back to Forza Motorsport 1. It is something I hold close to me.

P.S. I know I could have pinged the staff members, but I am sure they have all sorts of things to worry about.

you answered your own question there

Thank you for clarifying its just one of those things that it just looks like it should not be allowed. So it would be okay to share designs based upon the dark effect?

Yeah, the developers put the feature into the game so they are aware of it. Enforcement is not taken lightly and not done on a ‘that looks a bit suspect’ basis

Okay thank you so much! I fully trust the support team 100 percent but, didnt want to release the information if the staff was skeptical on this. I hope you have an amazing day and again thank you so much for responding so quickly!!

I had originally discovered this by my great friend @aeqnx who is an extremely talented painter and an awesome friend! Also is one of the featured community members here as well.

As they mentioned all it takes is the stock color of the car to be a Chrome/gold base or any of the polished bases work just as well.

Then you want to go to apply vinyls and decals

From there you just add on a black shape to cover the car or the cars you want the darkness affect to take place… its important to change the vinyl material to all the way matte.

Thanks to the clarification of WindSweptDragon and Skreamies (not listed in the forums was a dm) we shouldnt have to worry about possible reports on us as it doesnt break tos! Super excited to see what people come up with!!
