Hello my old paintig mates. Hope you all have fun with fh5. It is a long time ago since I posted new designs here so I hope you didnt forgot me.
I just wanted to know if there is something new in our painting universe. Actually i am hunting accolades and dont spend some time with creating new stuff. But sometimes i take a look in other creative hubs just to see new cool paints etc. As i looked the top 10 of the hall of fame i found some vinylgroups that looks fantastic and photorealistic. So if i see something like that quality stuff i Download it and zoom just to See what Vinyls other painter use.
Ok i didnt want to hurt someone and i really not Sure if i miss sometink but it is very strange for me because i never saw a painting style like this before. Every Single shape is used, is just done with a circle. Just with a lot of different sizes and colours.
For me it looks like a Software that only uses circles to create a realistic vinylgroup.
Actually i cant Show you some pics because it needs some preparation I couldnt do yet. But maybe you guys recogniced it before. And the questions I have… ist this cheating? Didnt reported these guys, maybe it ist just skill in a new painting method?
Hi AJ, How have you been mate? it’s been a long time!
In answer to your question, yes I beleive the images you are talking about are made with A.I. hence only 1 shape is being used (usually a circle) I would say yes it is definitely cheating as it is using external software to create ingame content
Yes, you are correct about software making those vinyls with all circles. I am told that T10/PGG is aware of it and working on it. I sure hope they are. Cheaters are ruining almost every new game on the market these days and it is sad.
I am glad to see you are still around. I miss the good old days of our Fm3/Fm4 collaboration designs. I will never forget that yin yang S15, or the blue one with the feathers! I hope you are well, Happy Holidays to you and your family/friends.
Thx for your Kind words. Very happy to know you still remember me.
About this fact that there is an a.i. that ist used it is a bit unfair for those of US who paint without. I think i will report these guys. Sadly i found a lot of more creative hubs with that cheated Vinyls. But it is good to know that some of you Talented guys can create quality stuff without cheating.
Hope you all have a nice christmas time and i am Sure we will see some nice designs next year. I try to find a bit Motivation to Come up with something new haha.
Please report any that you see. The studios and the enforcement team are aware of the use of this tool and have confirmed that it definitely does break Forza’s TOS. Personally, I would like to see some more visible enforcement actions taken against those using the tool as that might help discourage some users who may be on the fence about it from using the tool. But, unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be happening.
I was going to use the editor, but replace the mouse with Ai. Mouse movements are just X/Y/Z movements that you can control in other ways such as with a controller. Basically all you are doing is making an automated controller.
What this tool is trying to do is something like auto-aim in fps.
And while these tools are vastly inferior in quality to human operated, they reduce the time required to create a vinyl group to a level that is impossible to achieve with human.
These bots will be able to produce dozens of different types of vinyl groups while a skilled painter is using his full time off to produce one excellent vinyl group.
Given these facts, I would be surprised if you think it will not be banned.
I didn’t think this tool should be mentioned in such an open forum.
I was worried that by talking about it in this way, we were spreading the tool.
But things are already too late.
And there is little we ordinary players can do about it.
Xbox Live’s reporting feature? It doesn’t work at all.Forza Support’s reporting feature? It’s better than the former, but it’s not actively functioning either.
As long as the relevant livery does not contain discriminatory content or pornography, it is not banned.
The only way to fix this problem is for PG to take action against this tool.
Of course, just as all fps deveroplers can’t eradicate these bots, it will never be possible to do so completely eradicate, but it is better than nothing.
Also saw that one guy who ist useing this program is removed from the leaderbords. But i am not sure if he was banned because of this cheat or because of his accolades points…
It’s getting ridiculous, if you look for vinyl groups in the creative hub there are tons of that stuff on the recommended page.
Reporting these people ingame doesn’t really work, because you can’t select any sort of cheating or manipulation, just harassment, abuse and such.
They really need to add some things to the report system.
I did download the GitHub project for this application when it was posted on Reddit. Did not try it out, because I didn’t have a Python interpreter installed. The source code is surprisingly small. It does not create the objects, you need to create the seed vinyl populated with 3,000 circles. The application reads in the image and decides what color each circle should be, and I presume moves them into place. I think you need to save the resulting image manually. The app could be modified to just generate a list of colors and positions for the circles, and leave it up to the user to set them themselves, in which case there is no way it could possibly violate the ToS. Yeah, it would be tedious, but probably a lot less work than trying to create the image from scratch.
To generate list of shapes, you don’t need this program, it’s already a function of Geometrize, which that tool is using as its engine.
All the “paint tool” does is uses Geometrize output and then scans game memory for your shapes’ properties, and changes them according to the json file created by Geometrize.
And that’s why I wouldn’t recommend touching the tool with a long stick - memory hacks like that have been detectable by automated anti-cheat tools for decades now. And people not being auto-banned for it doesn’t mean they don’t have a big red flag already set on their accounts, waiting for enforcement to happen. For anti-cheat it looks the same, whether you were hacking the credits to 999m or changing the circle size, color and coordinates.
(Sorry for bumping an older thread, didn’t wanna make a new one)
I think the paint tool isn’t a bad thing, the editor is hard to master and somebody with little experience may struggle with it. and I don’t think thats not a possibility, with how newer horizons have stepped away from their T-E10+ roots.
After how hellish it could be at times to make a design on a 360, I’m all for a friendlier way to get newcomers into designs.
Forza’s editor has gotten behind a lot in recent times, the only big addition in a while has been a shape increase and masking shapes. Games like granturismo have handled the uploading of designs/logos better and have shown me that a system like that can work in forza. If any work is put to make it work.
Even if the tool is banned for its use (which is understandable). I think we would still benefit from an update to the editor, maybe support for uploading SVG’s? or even something simple like unlocking certain options on my design, so if I upload a logo I can check an option that lets people use it on their designs, and upload them to the store if they wish, While still keeping mine locked.
I think the tool has shown how unchanged forza’s system is, and having to gift cars through the auction house is still a bit silly.
If we could share “unlocked” vinyl groups with the community in order to help them make great designs, they wouldn’t need an automated tool to reproduce them.
I don’t mind if Vinyl Groups and Liveries generate zero Credit rewards as a result, having an open source creation suite would increase the quality of designs across the board.
GT Sport, Gran Turismo 7 and Forza Motorsport 4 are three examples of this in action.
