If you look at the new badges for open racing and those new badges would look good on a 5year olds lunch box. Also did drift story and all of those can be completed with autogear and antispin on. Horizon tour can be won with a stock car in reverse. Its seems this started kinda hard with Horizon 1 and got easier and easier. In Horizon 5 you really dont need any driving skills at all to complete any storys just hit the gas and you win.
Short answer: yes.
You be the judge when they announce my little pony as the first expansion.
Well they did release a lego expansion so i would not be surprised
My guess is Minecraft… which isn’t much better.
On a serious note I think the first expansion will be based on the movie A Bugs Life. You can see millions of clues about this in the game already.
I’m showing my age here, but why not M.A.S.K.? Unlike MLP and Minecraft, they do have cars. And they could release the masks as headgear, too.
I usually fight with you on many threads lol, but honestly this was a good one. agree with the title of the movie. It fits perfectly with the game state right now lol.
Sadly the gameplay mechanics of FH5 are getting closer to the sadest racing and gaming experience ive ever had. Im afraid ima going to go back to need for speed series… that says it all. If im going to play childish racing games, i better go back to the most representative saga of all times…
Are you just now realizing this?
Yes, more and more, the game is aimed at children. The core racing audience has been abandoned. Strangely, the game seems to be targeting the Fortnite crowd and similar, yet there’s nothing in the game to keep those folks interested. I think the plot has been lost.
For the most part, I already moved on to other games like Grid, Wreckfest, and the Far Cry series. Gotta say I love using 18-wheelers and flatbeds in Far Cry 5 and taking other vehicles with me on the back of the truck.
A Hollywood based expansion would be great. We had the Bond cars in FH4, and we have plenty of movie cars in the game: Firebird (KITT), Charger (Dukes of Hazzard), DeLorean (self explanatory), etc.
Why not add cars like a several Batmobiles, Ghostbusters, etc.
I would rather drive those, than the Hot Wheels cars…
Though I have it, I never played the LEGO expansion. To this day, I feel robbed with that DLC.
FH4 Lego expansion isn’t bad. Its biggest problem is the FH3 Hot Wheels expansion is 10x better. I hope the FH5 expansion isn’t a letdown. I’m skeptical since so few serious bugs have been fixed.
Yup, lego expansion wasnt bad at all. If you forget about all lego vehicles that you barely see around, ironically, the sceneray and track setups are very well done. But of course, its childish because no one would ever believe that a lego car is faster than even the worst real car in the world. But again, i dont think many of us who are old enough still play with Lego. Some do, nothing wrong about it, but i dont think the majority does…
Blizzard Mountain and Hot Wheels were GREAT expansions…
In FH4, the “Treasure Island” was also a very good one.
Although I love LEGO, and LEGO based games (Star Wars Saga is still amazing), to add something like this in a “simulade” (simulation+arcade) game just feels out of place.
IMO, of course.
Yes, when you can wear skirts and crap like that…Avatars should be removed competely, like in FH 3
It’s literally rated for “Everyone”. This should not be a surprise to you, or anyone.
My lovely lady avatar looks pretty good in her dress. You know you don’t HAVE to use any of it, right?
It’s not even just the gameplay, the entire rest of the game is designed this way. From the obnoxious G-rated dialogue to the goofy, unrealistic worldbuilding, to the overzealous censorship of all the music.
People are genuinely thinking Minecraft is going to be the game’s crossover expansion. While I want to call them crazy, I honestly wouldn’t put it past Playground.
Despite Minecraft’s world not even being able to accomodate cars (with meter tall blocks every few feet) there’s literally no cars in the game in any way, shape, or form.
I don’t mind the kid friendly environment. I enjoyed Lego. I don’t even mind the new games modes like eliminator, though I’m never going to play them.
What I do mind is when these elements come at the expense of the racing experience. I think the “lost the plot” comment earlier in the thread hit the nail on the head. Ancillary modes are fine, heck they’re great even to break up the experience, but the game needs to refocus on it’s core. The most frustrating part is that there is some pretty easy, low hanging fruit the devs can pursue (like custom championships, or adding more races/starting points to the woefully underutilized map) that could really flesh out the core experience and they just leave it to rot while pursuing these defocusing elements.
As I side note, I sometimes feel like the only person who is critical of the hot wheels expansion. It was very fun to play through once, but they stripped away all of the options that were available in both the base game and Blizzard mountain. It had very little depth. The Lego expansion may not have had the same wow factor but it was a bit more replayable.
