It’s obviously an impossible question to answer. It’s a very good game by nearly all accounts. There are a few relatively small issues (at least what I would consider small). But if you already have a full PC gaming setup and are spending time with that, then it’s up to you whether or not it’s worth $500+
Well IMHO it is FM5 2.0 though it offers some unique options like the showcase events. I’m like you and a fee users here, I own all PC Sims…/games. Ac, RF2, pCARS, GSCE, etc… even back to the Old NASCAR days. With that said, I’ve also played Forza and many other Xbox games through the years. I can tell you I enjoy them all, well most all… but console games like Race Pro, Dirt, and a few others have always got playing time from me as well as Moto GP/MX games.
Now, FM6 is worth it, because you can also get pCARS on Console which is much better than FM56 for a racing game with better FFB. But honestly, if you don’t get a wheel and pedals (I know another $500) it really is not worth it, as for me, as likely you, the gamepad is simply unnatural and non-immersive.
I have the TX wheel and TP3A Pro pedals and the TH8A shifter… if I got the letters right. Great combo, you can live w/o the shifter.
Yes. I bought an Xbox One on release just for Forza and haven’t been disappointed yet. Now I have Forza 5, 6, Horizon 2, a few free games with gold, and I’m completely happy with my purchase. I also bought the 360 back in the day for Forza and Gears of War. I put so many hours into Forza that it’s worth it to me. I would say try playing F6 at a friend’s house and then you will know if it’s worth it to you.
I dont understand why you sold your xbox? You can own both an xbox and a PC. They are not exclusive of each other. In fact with the new Xbox One update and with windows 10 on the PC being out, they are very much mutual.
FWIW, I’ve been a Playstation/Gran Turismo fan my entire life but racing games have always been my favorite genre.
A few years ago my friends who had Xbox’s and Forza said “you really need to try Forza 4, it destroys Gran Turismo”. I tried it and it did. Plain and simple. Been a Forza fan ever since and haven’t looked back. While I still own my PS3 and GT6, it’s simply no contest. I never play it because I don’t want to.
Despite the PS4 being a better console, I bought an XB1 SOLELY for Forza 5 (and subsequently, Horizon 2 and Forza 6). Forza sells consoles if you’re as into racing games as I am. This will continue to be the case until PD steps up their game, but word has it that they’re still going to be porting their PS2 quality cars for GT7. Plus, heaven only knows how long it’ll be until anyone gets to play GT7. GT is the best racing game for Playstation by far, but Forza is king of the hill by a long shot.
Is it worth it? Heck to the yeah.

I refuse to drop 1000+ on a gaming rig, and I also refuse to accept the “PC master race” bs.
Consoles only for me.

i wish a game like forza would come to pc. most are too sim or too arcade. forza is that perfect mix. and has the console multiplayer numbers to make online play more fun.
If you don’t mind playing on your computer, which a lot of people (myself included) do. I prefer relaxing in my living room and playing on my main TV, rather than going into my den to play on a computer.
So, yes, no matter what I play on my PC, Forza is certainly worth it for me.
Played gran tourismo 1 through 4. When Forza came out on the original Xbox, I knew it was a way better game. Ive been playing Forza ever since and played the Forza fanboy card. I tried GT5 when it came out and found it laughable when compared to Forza 4 at the time.

Forza 6 is great. Totally worth the investment. More cars, more tracks, excellent online stability (so far), paint, tune, '67 F1’s, etc. So much to like and so much to do.

As it stands no. To many issues particularly the draivatars and sound problems make the less enjoyable than previous Forzas.
I bought my copy and although the game is good, I dont think its worth it to buy another Xbox and the game to play it if you have already played 5.
While playing I couldnt help but think this is just Forza 5 with some updates like rain, some new tracks, and a few new cars…sure there are some other updates that do make the game feel more alive but it still felt like Forza 5 v2.0
I think it is… if you love other games for the console. Luckily for me i love halo so all that is a major plus, love forza rare replay, getting castle crashers HD for free for owning original, tomb raider for free. I’ve always got something to play and i’ve only had the system a couple months.
i’ve never played forza 5,i know about it, seen enough of vids. To me it’s not a rehash or anything. The mods are a lot of fun, love showcases, the career, tinkering. I’m a huge fan of autovista because i never had anything like that in 4… i mean there’s like 15 cars to do that with, it’s like car overload having 500 to geek on.
Yes the drivatars are screwy in career (unless you play unbeatable or so it seems) but otherwise it’s a great game and don’t regreat the 100 plus i spent. Worth a system too though? That’s up to you
i’m looking forward to halo 5, fallout 4, scalebound, quantum break, ff 15, just cause 3, resident evil zero/1 physical. 2 remake, So there’s a ton for me to look forward to.
