Hi guys and girls.
I bought a PS4 a few days ago but haven owned all the playstations and a 360 i sorta have the feeling that the PS4 is “more of the same” so im thinking about returning the PS4 and buying Xbox one mainly for forza 5… Is that a stupid idea buying a console for (in theory) ONE game?
I bought a 360 just for Forza. I also bought a One…just for Forza.
When GT7 comes out, I’ll be buying a PS4.
And when the new Zelda arrives, I’ll be getting a Wii U 
Right now it’s the only game I play on mine as I’m not really happy with anything else out at the moment. I don’t think one console is any better than the other and to me it came down to what controller I liked more and the potential game line ups.
The next gen consoles are similar to next gen phones. More or less the same with a few tweaks here and there. I’m not knocking either console as im happy with mine but it’s not world changing.
Buying it solely for Forza is an endless debate and comes down to personal preference. To me its not worth it for one game but since there will be more games I will play on it later, it was worth it.
Even tho I’m only playing one game on it at the moment I didn’t buy an Xbox One for Forza. I bought an Xbox one and also bought Forza.
I bought my 360 and my Xbox1 both just for forza and nhl. There is nothing else I would currently like to play on Xbox1 since nhl doesn’t come out till September. So I don’t think that’s stupid at all.

Same here. I bought 360 and One just to play forza - (check my gamer tag not really anything else
there ;). This game is one of a kind. Haven’t regret any of my purchases including all dlc’s for all of my Forza’s (If you play one game only why not make it complete ;).
Like I said no second thoughts get it and enjoy.
All my life been playing on PC but simply there is no game that you could seriously compare to FM series, also community and devs have a big part in this.
My friend always is laughing and saying that I have “FBox” not Xbox.

I bought my 360 just for forza 3, and enjoyed some other games on it as well. buying an XB1 for forza 5 depends on how much you like cars and racing.
Well Horizon 2 is coming out and with a Forza 5 engine on the One it makes it a worthy purchase as well, and theres also NFS rivals which looks awesome on next gen consoles
I did and no regrets. There’s just nothing else out for either console that to me is as good or keeps you addicted to it months later. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
OP I think your asking in the wrong place fella, everyone here is biased.
Like you I’m getting my Xbox One very soon and Forza is the main attraction BUT I’m also looking forward other games in the near future Halo, Far Cry, Project CARS, NBA2K15 and Battlefield to name a few!
Make your own choice because then you’ll only have yourself to blame because it’ll hit you in the wallet, I’ve been an Xbox fan since day one so I’ll give this gen a chance considering M$ has been back pedalling on the Kinect/ Split Screen nonsense.
Yeah i know people here are biased but im guessing they would still say i was being a idiot buying a console for 1 game if that was the case i had forza 3 and that really didnt tickle me the right places but perhaps its time to give the forza series another go

Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One is running on the Forza 5 game engine at 1080p 30fps. Has been stated by Playground Games. FH2 on Xbox 360 is running on FH1 engine (which was based on FM4 engine).
Forza 5 was the first game I got for Xbox One, not the reason. I am the owner of 3 generations of Microsoft Consoles. For now, Forza is my go to sim racing title. Come Nov, I’ll be racing on Project Cars (so looking forward to doing a career racing karts!), among other titles releasing later this year. Like Halo MCC, Pure Pool, & possibly Alien: Isolation. Next year, The Division & Rise of Tomb Raider & maybe FM6 (if Project Cars does live up to what it is supposed to be with night racing & dead on physics & weather. Turn 10 doesn’t deliver night racing or weather, then I am done with Forza). Project Cars resolution can be somewhere between 720p - 900p for all I care, just better be 60fps or not buying it. I’m all for the pits with animations, among other things that has this title looking hardcore!
My last non Microsoft Console was PS1. Back when I enjoyed NFS, Tekken, twisted metal, & Resident Evil 1 & 2.
I had not been into gaming for over a decade when a friend showed me Horizon a month later I had copies of Forza 2,3,4 all Platinum editions and didn’t even own my own console. A few months later (nov '13) I bought my first console ever (360) and a month after that I bought an Xbox One and Forza 5 as a New Years gift to myself. I’ve never been unhappy with my purchases. I’m what you might call a petrol head aka Gear head or (For the Lemmy inclined) MotorHead!
Now I’m waiting for a few more wheel setups to hit the market so I can start building my full on Virtual racing rig; three screen, race chair, wheel, shifter and pedals with a kicking sound system!

It’s the most buggy game I’ve played and it’s full of trolls. Fm5 was the only game I wanted for the one. Don’t do it ands that’s coming from someone who preordered the one a day after preorders were available and waited in line for four hours just to get the limited edition forza. Nothing but regret…
I could never do the just one game thing.
Halo & Forza got me into buying an XBox One, those games, and the fact there is nothing on Playstation that I like that isn’t already on Xbox One anyway, so that made my choice even easier. Playstation ‘exclusives’ don’t do much for me. The honestly never have. Aside from Twisted Metal of PS1/2 days, and GTA. But then GTA was available for Xbox, so I pretty much quit my playstation usage at that point.
Just follow your own wants and interests mostly, and whatever makes you happier, go with that

Of course, I love the other functions and enjoy other games but the Forza series was my deciding factor.

Just do it. I pre-ordered the LE version of FM5, not knowing when I would be able to play it as the Xbox One release here in Sweden was delayed from November of 2013 until September of 2014. Luckily, I was able to import a console from Germany in January. Until the free Game with Gold, I hadn’t played anything but Forza on my console.
FM5 is the only game I own. I may pick up Horizon 2 and will definitely pick up GTA 5 this fall.
On the 360 I owned Forzas, GTA4 and literally less than a hand full of other games. None of that handful of games really got played the much. I really only own the XBOX for Forzas and GTAs. We do use it for Netflix and stuff like that too though but I really only got it for Forza.
