I’d have to look at telemetry. While running but I would tend to agree with the original statement on face value. I would assume that you want to get as much percent of brakes applied without lockups.
I’m like moon where I like higher brake pressures and I don’t pull the trigger all the way in. Not sure what percentage is actually being applied in telemetry though.
I’ve been in other peoples tunes where to get the same amount of braking is a longer pull of the trigger there by allowing themselves to have a greater degree of percentage. 0-100 on a pull where I’m probably 30-140% on a pull
Never really looked at it’s true numbers. Just like the feel of higher brake pressures. On ovals I set up low brake pressures to allow slight pul to give some more front grip and let decel dif provide some rotation also aids in making minor line adjustments due to traffic.
That’s the only way I play. I leave ABS on since it’s the law for real world cars to have them. All my tunes have braking pressure set to 80% and I still see the abs light come on and feel a little shimmy toward the end of braking when I’m going slowly. This is why I leave the abs on, I don’t want the wheels to lock up at all, and it doesn’t seem to adversely affect anything other than the amount of bonus money you get from races.
It’s only law if your car is 2004 or newer in the EU and 2014 or newer in the US
I have a few friends who prefer, real-world, car’s without ABS since they can manage to not be so fat-footed on the brake pedal. My friends '93 Civic and '86 MR2 come to mind. As for Forza, ABS was always the first thing I turned off to earn a few more credits. Just don’t instantly full squeeze the trigger, like you wouldn’t instantly slam your brake pedal in real-life, and you are good to go. Better to rely on yourself rather than computer assistance!
