Agreed. I personally just recently began another playthrough of fallout 4. Apart from that I start up horizon 5 for a couple hours to do the weekly chorelist every Thursday, and sometimes tune or paint a car for a bit

Same for me. Only thing I was hoping from this week’s show was the release date. When it comes to this generation of Xbox Game Studios’ games, there has been only promises. OK, they finally delivered the Halo Infinite, but we all know how that turned out.
The constant postponing of new FM is getting ridiculous as well. Last year they said Spring 2023 (they didn’t specify on which hemisphere though, lol) and now they changed that to 2023. They are really pushing it. FM7 came out in 2017. That’s at least 6 years of development for new iteration in series and Soon™ talk has been going on at least since 2021.
What to do until FM launches? Like Ti_Hsien said, play other games. For example, the last 3 WRC games are good, if are looking for a challenging racing game. There’s also GT7, BUT that game was the flop of the year for me. Try other genres or indie games that are like a breath of fresh air between corporate AAA titles.
I like Forza but will play ETS2 and ATS (truck simulator) in the next 4 months!
Imma be honest with you… i personally think they already teased the release date… may just be me thou… super shocked nobody even talked about this yet. Nothing officially states my belief correct though
On the Developers Direct i think the G looks more like a 6 then we have 2023 ofc (06/20/23) or June 2023

Nah, they’re just taking the time to make it super duper uber mega super extra extreme polished. Just like all delays. It’s definitely not that theres serious development structural issues and that the delays are what they were able to bargain for but actually need to rework major systems that are going to rear their ugly heads on release.
Im unironically glad they never threw around hard dates, they shouldnt really have even said “spring”
They basically acknowledge that they’re not capable of meeting any deadline within the next year. Gives you a good metric of how organized and competent the development structure is.

My long time theory is T10 wanted to release a powered up Forza Motorsport together with the Series Consoles. A FM7 with a update like the big FM7 update they did, plus new cars and tracks plus graphic update. But then they saw the FM7 XBox One X version running on the Series X and thought like “That looks almost the same and is nothing to show off for the new console”.
And the they began more or less from the beginning. They took just the Forza Rear Wing and made it from the ground up 
I was very optimistic when they said everything is running good and they are confident to release in spring '23. They never missed a release date and deliverd very good games every two years (except FM5).
But the “coming 2023” makes me a little bit nervous. Still confident, but nervous. I really need a new Forza Motorsport. Even when 20 envirorments sounds a little bit low.
I hope its only their safety backdoor.
They could rename it Motorsport Forever. That worked well for 3D Realms.

Here’s a simple list to keep you busy until FM8 comes out. Apparently, it’s low effort and easy to do, according to DJ Khaled. Give it a try.
- Get a PC.
- Buy Albelton or what ever DAW you want.
- Make noises.
- Refine noise making process.
- Experiment with sampling.
- Like sampling.
- Depend on sampling.
- Learn some Music Theory (Key word “Some”).
- Make nose that has rhythm and the semblance of what’s called a beat.
- Post work on Soundcloud.
- Get panned.
- Re-motivate yourself and redouble your efforts.
- Attempt to make a song in the style of your favorite musical artist.
- Fail but learn something new about your DAW.
- Attempt to make that song again.
- Succeed in some respects and realize you need to learn more about music production.
- Watch YouTube videos on your DAW and tips to get the sound you want.
- Realize you made quite the backlog of projects you can use to build new beats and songs.
- Learn some mixing and mastering techniques, under the guise of wanting to do it for this one beat/song.
- Make more beats.
- Learn piano playing basics.
- Slowly wean off of sampling.
- Experiment with 7/4ths and 9/3rds tempo for beats and songs.
- Learn chords.
- Get stuck in an EDM rut, even though you don’t have the chops for it.
- Post a throw-away beat on social media.
- Go “back into the lab” and experiment with distortion, peaking and oversaturated sounds.
- Get checked for tinnitus.
- Agree to make a few tracks for a local rapper.
- Watch him flake at every chance he gets.
- Refine some of your past “failures”.
- Complain that trap Producers are making their projects needlessly harder on FL Studio.
- ???
- Profit.
By the time you get to #34, Forza might be released? Fingers crossed? Hopefully.
