Invalid Profile, Data Loss

So unfortunately I am stuck with the 'INVALID PROFILE" error. Over the past two weeks, XBL has had a lot of problems with logging into profiles, so I decided to remove my gamertag and re-login. All of my games synced from the cloud fast and flawlessly, EXCEPT Horizon 2. It took about 2 hours for the darn thing to sync, and when it finally did, I get the dread Invalid Profile message telling me to delete my account and pick a different one. My cloud save file is 86mb and my data seems to still be there, just the stupid game wont launch with it. Is there any fix for this issue? I contacted HeliosT10 about it through PM, but have not heard anything back yet. I’ve dumped a tremendous amount of time and money into this franchise, and if there is seriously nothing that can be done to remedy this issue- I don’t know if i’ll play Forza again. Very unfortunate situation, I truly love this game and just want the opportunity to play it again like always!

Can you please try deleting your local save and then try and resync with the one stored in the cloud.

I have completed this step, the game loads with the 86MB cloud save after syncing for about an hour. The problem is upon pressing ‘A’ to login, it comes up with the “INVALID PROFILE- DELETE PROFILE AND LOG IN WITH A DIFFERENT ONE, etc” notice.

Are there any other options?

I don’t know if there’s anything you can do.

I’m in the same situation as you with the “invalid profile”, and while I don’t expect to be able to play FH2 again, I am still hoping that I’ll be able to import user created content (liveries and vinyl groups) from the “invalid profile” into FM6. The chance of being able to import something is more important to me than being able to play FH2 again.

I feel like the response to these data loss issues are embarrassing on Turn 10 and Microsoft’s part. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on this franchise and played for years, as I’m sure many of the other people having these issues have. There has been no official response, solution, or even apology. I absolutely will not be buying Forza 6, considering it comes from a company that does not value its customers.

While I’m seriously not happy about the “invalid” state of my FH2 profile, I’m still considering buying FM6. Partly because I’m dying to race on Watkins Glen, Daytona, Indy and Sonoma, but also partly because I’m curious whether or not my invalid FH2 profile is too ruined to make a vinyl import possible.

Since I assume that others with invalid profiles might not have the exact same game save issues as I do (my assumption is that several different issues can lead to the profile being invalid), waiting to see if they successfully manage to import their user created content from FH2 will be pointless, leaving my only option to find out being purchasing the game.

I don’t spend ANY money on alcohol, tobacco, or clubbing, so the cost of the Ultimate edition of FM6 is a risk I can live with even if I can’t import the FH2 user created content, and even if there aren’t any NASCAR stock cars (even with plenty of cars yet to be revealed, I’m no too optimistic at this point to see any NASCAR rides) in the game. I’d rather buy the game and see what can be imported than not buy it and always wonder. Oh well. That’s how it is with curiosity. :stuck_out_tongue:
