Increase Engine Redline RPM (Engine Pitch)

I wanted to bring this out there now rather than never because during the time I have played Forza Horizon 5, many cars engine audio in terms of RPM pitch have been incorrectly dialed in the game (sometimes even while using the sport/race camshaft upgrade DID NOT help fix it). I want to get to the point here and say I have listed cars down below that I wish for Playground Games to take a listen and increase the race cam RPMs for the following cars:

  • 2001 Acura Integra Type R: race cams increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 2002 Acura RSX: race cams increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 1997 Honda Civic Type R: race cams increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 2004 Honda Civic Type R: race cams increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 1991 Honda CRX SIR: race cams increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 1994 Honda Prelude SI: race cams increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale: race cams increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 2011 Mazda RX-8 R3: major race rotor RPM increase or complete overhaul of engine audio
  • 1991 GMC Scyclone: copy & paste engine audio with the 1987 Buick Regal GNX
  • 1992 GMC Typhoon: copy and paste engine audio with the 1987 Buick Regal GNX
  • 2022 Pagani Huayra R: race cams increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 2009 BMW M5: race cams increased by another 1000-1500 RPMs
  • 1997 BMW M3: race cams increased by another 1000-1500 RPMs
  • 2003 Nissan Donut Media 350z ‘Hi Car’: race cams increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 2004 Nissan Donut Media 350z ‘Low Car’: race cams increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 2003 Toyota Celica Sport Specialty II: race cams increased by another 750-1000 RPMs
  • 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV: race cams increased by another 250-500 RPMs
  • 1985 Toyota Trueno GT Apex: race cams increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 1990 Mazda Savanna RX-7: race rotors increased by another 1000-1500 RPMs
  • 2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A: race rotors increased by another 500-750 RPMs
  • 2003 Ford SVT Mustang Terminator: race cams increased by another 750-1000 RPMs

Thank you for taking the time to read this list from anyone associated with Playground Games. It means a lot to me and many more car enthusiasts on Forza Horizon 5 who have very much likely noticed this same issue and wish to have this little hiccup tweaked.

EDIT 10/26/2023: I re-adjusted the acuras/hondas to a little less because after me personally listening to Forza Motorsport’s RPM range along with some real life sources on YouTube, it may sound a bit too compressed if PGG did increase the RPM so I adjusted it down a bit from (750-1000) to (500-750).

I thought you meant the idle rpm being too high and not matching the rpm on the dashboard. But that’s a different issue then

Hi, this is my other acc, I meant to add in the term Redline be increased

that too is another one Ill post about, Ive seen a few examples still not fixed to this day sadly :frowning:

Ah ok. I’ve noticed that too in some cars. For example; The new Alfa 155 Q4 goes to 7000 rpm on the HUD but to 6500 rpm on the dashboard. It can be revved up to almost 7700/7800rpm to the rev limiter. No idea if that’s realistic or not?

Im not familiar with the alfas, it doesn’t bother me at all actually until I probably look up the real redline pitch on YouTube then I might add it to the list lol, Im mostly hoping they tweak the Hondas and the 2009 BMW m5 cus those are ones that get on my nerves the most.

Oh, I now get it. You mean that the engine audio doesn’t sound like it revs all the way to the redline like irl? I’ve noticed that too and it’s quite annoying when you start to pay attention to it. It’s only until you hit the rev limiter when the engine audio sounds right, but for an engine being revved to the redline, not the rev limiter. The audio should go even further when you actually run it in the red.

Thank you, Glad you agree :+1::grin: I hope they tweak the limiter later on in the future cus I want my high revving hondas back so badly :smiling_face_with_tear:

Yeah fr man it would make it so much more realistic super stupid the game is like this

Yeah they had the redline pitch correct from FH2-FH4 and now when you take a listen on the race camshaft on any Honda it sounds 700-950 revs lower than it use to

I completely agree with this, honestly I am a racer and beleive some of these cars should be able to get into higher RPM’s like the rotary engines

Thanks for leaving a comment. I do very much hope that the RX-8 in particular get a WAY higher rev limiter cus in the game currently it sounds just awful :frowning:

Also another possibility is the jaguar E-Type
