Not necessary. I’m no legendary tiner or painter in 4 but I’m maxed out there too. Just trade cars in the Auction House.

I’m getting pretty close too,(somewhere round 950, increased fast lately) just buy playing (including Rivals) and sometimes selling a bunch of cars in AH. No tricks whatsoever.

I like doing the Horizon Arcade missions, and you can use the points to buy some decent cars in the weekly shop, that usually can auction for a good price.
Although you can only buy those cars once from the shop, you can still buy them if you already had them from another source.

A good way (if you’re not legendary) … auction sniping… snipe the new to forza car (as many as you can) within the first week or 2 and then sell it when its value increases to 20 mill… this is how i got rich before i became legendary…
