First the sneaky changes to the VIP membership which I bought without having any clue that they’d stripped out the best perk of 100% XP bonus. I feel duped.

Then they add “lootboxes?” Are you KIDDING? We all know what that means. It means that we’re going to have to spend more money buying crappy boxes chasing preferred cars. It’s a CHEAP (figuratively, not literally), dishonest money grab. The only way to stop it is to stop buying/playing these games.

I also recently bought Project Cars 2. The experience could not be more different. I immediately have access to all the cars. That’s what I want. I buy these games to experience the thrill of driving the cars. I’m not interested in grinding. Forza is turning into a simple money grab.

Guess what Turn 10?

WE ALREADY PAID FOR THE GAME! Don’t then put all the best stuff behind a paywall, whether it’s with in-game credits or what is soon to be real world money. Furthermore, there is no reason for you to have dumbed down the VIP perks. I hate myself for paying for it.

I feel completely ripped off.

Turn 10 are clearly headed towards a Free to Play model with this game only the “free” part is actually $60-$100.

Refunds are available from MS - explain the VIP situation and you’ll get a refund in 10 minutes. Vote with your dollar.

You do realize loot boxes are free right they only use in game credits.

I’ll give you $10 if that doesn’t change sometime over the next 6 to 12 months. It’s too similar to a pattern already seen in so many games.

That’s not free.. in game currency equals time grinding. Not everyone has all day long sit home and grind for their favorite car, and then still not get that favorite car due to bad RNG..

Yep, I got the Ultimate Edition refunded…simply didn’t have the MP features I wanted in early release. Not worth the extra $40 compared to standard edition.

Ripping people off and turning FM7 into a mobile game with in-game purchases. This might be my last Forza Motorsport.
T10 you will never make me buy loot boxes with real money. I’m not stupid.

I guess its another instant gratification generation problem !
The whole point of the game is earning in game credits to buy cars, no issue here.
I partially agree about the limit use bonus, but hey see point above, it isn’t a deal breaker for me.
Likewise “reward cars” that are only discounted not free means less credits to spend as you wish, but TBH for some previous FM’s its been to easy to earn a fortune, so its not an issue.
But if you have a grievance, vote with your feet, Byeeeeeeeee :slight_smile:

The game has some odd, even inexcusable issues, but this is certainly not one of them. It has a career mode - play the game and earn your cars. Simple formula that has worked well. I’m sure many players got used to the privilege of having every car available in Free Play so now it’s a bit of a system shock to not enjoy the same luxury.

Honestly, there are core gameplay and quality related shortcomings that ought to be addressed first and foremost.

Been grinding a bunch guy… still don’t have some of the major cars I wan’t because T10 has trapped them behind loot boxes. Aston Martin Vulcan, GT350R, 991 GT3 Porsche, Camaro SS 2016 etc. etc. I should be able to buy these cars if I work through the campaign but guess what I can’t because they are loot box only. So I have to buy these 300k loot boxes in hopes that I might get one??? And money doesn’t grow on trees in this game like FM6 so F that. It is disgustingly obvious they do this so that you want to spend real money on these loot boxes… [Mod Edit - User banned for deliberately trying to circumvent the profanity filter - D]

I’m done too. I already got my refund also. Microsoft did not blink an eye about giving me my money back. The refund was showing within the day on my bank account. Thanks Xbox for the refund. Terrible turn 10 just terrible… I will keep the bad words out of this. Microtransactions coming. VIP messed up. I have to have a car collection before I can buy vehicles I want like WOW just wow. Goodbye turn 10. On a good note. The mods were different and I liked. Graphics and gameplay of course amazing. But still doesnt make up for the other things. I like playing thru the career and earning my money and cars but when I have to buy cars I dont care about to level up my car collect to unlock other cars. No thanks.
