Seriously. Knock it off. At 4k these things should be perfect. They are NOT an element that you can steal from to make other less important aspects of the game better.

Just compared to previous titles. Like pretty much all modern racing games steal from cockpit view to make less important aspects of the games better. Drives me mad.

They either make the mirror quality worse, or the details of cockpit worse and/or less immersive. Like cockpit cams are an afterthought and I’m sick of it. The only game that doesn’t do this as much is GT.
Their cockpit immersion is 2nd to none. When ray tracing was announced I was like ‘cool, maybe we’ll actually have real working mirrors in cockpit cam’. Nope, that was too much to hope for and the mirrors are, at best, 1440p. So irritating.
None of the hardcore sims have good cockpit details? Id have thought thing like AC would be as good.
Not as good as they should be, no. GT is about the only one that I can’t really complain about.
