I can't have a single game without being taken out at the beginning, NOT ONE

My experience has been very bad, I can’t get a single race without being taken out at the beginning, I usually place in the top 3, so you’d believe I’d be safe there, but no. This is ridiculous, this is turning me toxic, and I end up all my races seeking revenge or opening the xbox chat to insult their mothers. And If I try to catch up, I “restart” in the middle of the flailing pack, which gives me unlimited penalties. Why is there nothing to prevent that kind of things to happen. I understand luck (and no luck), but every single game, really? I’ll play another day, but if it’s the same experience, I’m out. I start to understand why this game has an average 600 players online, there’s no care in this. They don’t care, I might not care anymore soon either.

Or you can actually not bother playing multiplayer. That’s what I do. I only focus my limited playing time on making new lap times in rivals.

I totally agree with this.

When you have a lot of cars in a race, everyone piles on top of each other at the 1st turn, inadvertently bumping each other off track! This can make or break your race! My suggestion is to use the “ghost” feature more liberally to avoid these crashes.

I actually work at XBOX but a different org. I’m trying to track down a PM on Forza to explore/suggest this, let’s see.

That’s the Answer!

Wait till MP is fixed or the penalty system works, until then it’s not worth the hassles

This is the reason.

You’re tanking your Safety Rating which increases your chances of being matchmaked with less safe players.

I’m not normally one to blame the victim, but if you are getting tangled up in first-corner/lap incidents every race, then perhaps the way you drive is a significant contributor to the problem. Whilst no-one is 100% immune to dive-bombers etc, you really need to adjust your driving style on the first lap if you want to avoid contact and yes, this will affect your pace and can cause you to lose the occasional position, but I’d much prefer to drop down to mid-pack with no contact penalties (if you’re good enough then you’ll be able to get reclaim the spots with overtaking) than stay in ~3rd and risk a couple of multi-second penalties or stubbornly refusing to compensate for other cars around you and get torpedoed down to the back of the pack.

To get a better quality of multiplayer life, spend some time at the back of the race driving like a saint. Place safety as your goal and avoid initiating contact. Do not worry about where you place, and never quit a race or retaliate, even if some griefer singles you out. Its going to take some time, but your as safety rating improves, you’ll start to see less chaos at the start of the races. Once you realize the racing is generally clean, you can try competing again. But keep the racing as clean as you can, and do not retaliate.

There is a easier way to rid idiots off the game… Remove it from Game Pass

Make it like iRacing or similar, buy it outright and own it, report Unsportsperson like behavior to support and see results.

Otherwise these threads are going to go on forever, not that I don’t here ya, more the fact it’s never going to end with the fools on track when they get a free pass

I had an issue with someone singling me out, just to gode me into getting a collision penality by brake checking in front of me. I saved the replay with the full intention of reporting the player. But I cannot make a clip with visible gamertags because I play in triple screen. When I make a video and host it to YouTube, the 16:9 borders gives me this…

Where a 16:9 player gets this…

Forza also stretches borderless windowed mode across all 3 of my screens. I’d have to disable the left and right monitors just to play in 16:9, and that is a non-starter just to report one griefer. Resetting NV Surround isn’t just flipping a switch. It should be, but it isn’t.

That sucks, hopefully down the track there will be better support for your setup so you can grab some footage for support to work with, that or if your racing with another that has the ablity to and is near you that should or could work?

With players like that that I came across in FH5 I just hung back and waited for them to act the fool then race off into the sunset, tho there was one that was def playing 3rd person and rammed me off track so I got stuck and silly me I remembered them and gave as good day after day, they kept apologising but it wasn’t enough and then recorded me pushing them off track one day, the next day I got a week ban… didn’t bother getting payback after that, chalked it up as a bad decision made in anger

If you spend your races “seeking revenge” then your safety Rating will be crap(deservedly so.) seek revenge by saving the race replay and record the clip of you getting maliciously divebombed so the perpetrator gets banned.

If tour aafety eating is bad You’ll then be placed with rammers Nd have a horrible time. Since they changed the safety rating history from 10 races to 20 races, you have quite a grind ahead of you to get to a a-s rating. You’ll simply need to drive like a grandma for at least a dozen races ( need to average <1s penalty per race to get b-s i would guess.)

I’m always a-s and i can’t even remember the last time i was divebombed and i play 3-10 MP races daily most days.

If you remove the game from gamepass be prepared for no players and a ton of ai.

No, this is not, there’s so little player that the safety rank doesn’t matter. I was S, and this happened all through A and B.

I’m usually S or A, with ~5000 SR, every single first turn I can “cheat” out of the racing line or even out of the track, I do, I even modified my play style to account for dive bombers, but it’s never enough. Turn 10 should add a “place back to track” button, that let’s you resume your race, even starting from a stand still I don’t care, and be ghosted while not safe. This is crazy that someone in who spent 20 minutes to get pole position, is forced mid first lap to reset his race, and start last and try to catch up.

that’s not true. I mean the part where “if your safety rating is high enough, you’ll have less problems”. There’s never enough players to fill a race, so you always end up with whatever was there.

Understood.

Still no excuse for revenge ramming though.

I have S/4995 and whenever I queue up (on my own, not with a party) I get races that are largely clean, at least from my part of the track.

If somebody bins me off on purpose (which hasn’t happened since launch week), I suck it up, drive faster, and pass them cleanly to make a point.

why not, I’m not the type to “keep it all inside”, only when it’s reasonable, if someone is wasting 30 minutes of time, I’ll retaliate, that’s the only relief I’ll have about this, or insult their mothers. If the guy can render 30 of my time useless, it’s only normal that this guy can take an insult or a ramming.

I salute your resilience.

You’re forgetting the fact that your retaliatory behaviour reinforces the notion to others that crashing people out is ok, therefore perpetuating the issues and motivations that cause people to take you out in the first place.

Also, revenge ramming is the same as “regular ramming” in the eyes of Turn 10.

You’re absolutely right, I’m not trying to say that ramming is right or to insult each other mothers is the right thing to do. I mean, I’m not insane nor bad hearted. I can discern when something happens unintentionally or when it’s a blatant lack of care for other players. When it’s the later, I’m pissed, and I won’t do the honor to a complete stranger who has no care for others to “keep inside” the anger he raised and act like the better man. Sanity is a resource, just like time, I owe him/her nothing, he has no respect for my time and my fun, I won’t have any back, if anything, I’ll just give him what he gave me, does that sound unfair?

Furthermore, it’s a competitive environment. If Turn 10 isn’t taking measures to alleviate such issues, they’re the root of those behaviors. It’s easy to blame the player when they’re only subjects to the system put in place.

You must be playing a different game then me because i haven’t been dive bombed at all in weeks.

There’s a little contact but nothing that sends me off track.

Also on xbox during prime Hours almost all of my lobby’s have over 16 drivers. occasionally after i hit “continue” after a race it’ll throw me in a room with like 2-4 ppl with 7mins left of practice, but i just leave then rejoin and im back with a nearly full server.

Of course this is on xbox, no idea what the pc landscape is like, but since update 8 races have never been cleaner, it’s probably my favorite update yet.
