I think I’ll check back in a year or two and hopefully its better. Nothing like having AI do random stuff but I get penalties for it. Pass AI and they turn into you +1.0 penalty, AI rams into you into a corner forcing you off track +0.9 penalty, AI slams on the brakes down a straight and you tap them +0.5 penalty. Not to mention whats up with every car understeering like their on ice?

Hmm, I’ve seen several posts similar to yours.
Now I am not denying that the AI do some odd things as I ve seen them myself, like stopping on a straight.
I’ve done, several MP and a few dozen AI races now, with incidents in all of them and the only time I’ve received a penalty is for track violations and punting an opponent.
I’ve been hit and spun out on line and never received a penalty?
For reference, I use full rules, no rewind and 7/8 ai strength.

Most of the time it’s a no penalty there are a few times during the race that it doesn’t make sense.
Playing free play with penalties set to expert and AI set to 6 I was given a one second penalty when the leader brakes on the straightaway. I was sandwiched between 1st and 3rd. Leader brakes out of nowhere, I hit him and the car behind me hits me. I get a penalty we go across the line and due to the penalty I get 3rd. Neither of the AI got a penalty.
I’ve seen them go off road, pile up and never get a penalty.
I don’t do MP racing so career mode is all I do. Just sucks to do a race and AI can do whatever and cause the player a penalty.
I’ll bet my house that you and others who say they’re gone for a year or more will be back in weeks. All it will take is a patch or two.

I definitely will, I won’t deny it. I think it will become a great game if they tweak some things. Just right now I’m not enjoying the ai and penalty system in career mode.
