News about Penalty System Corrections

Hi, I would like to know if they are still working on the online penalty system ? There is any news to inform the players?

Yes, this is the news I want. I don’t even care about Road Atlanta or Bathurst anymore. Please tell us what you are doing with the broken penalty system. Haven’t you seen enough examples over the last few years? It’s quite clearly not good enough.

They said they will first take care of the Car progression system then Forza Race Regulations and Drivatar AI. They will release as soon as it’s ready.

Penalty system is the same broken alpha test system as they introduced way back when it was being tested in FM7. It’s just as pointless and broken now six-plus years later as itvwas then. And players suggested scraping the system in favor of a more true to life racing flag system. But narrow focused thinking kept the penalties system. I doubt we will see any changes or upgrades ever to the broken and useless penalties system.

They had several years of testing on FM7 and still didn’t get fixed. No way are they fixing it now.

Plesently surprised to get a warning from dive bombing the AI.

I still seen some tomfoolery on the AI’s end when banging into each other but no penalties were issued.

Turn 1, they have a better sense of where I am, and didn’t turn into the side of my car but, all bets were off on turn 2.

Later in the race, the pack thinned out, and I encountered a couple of AI that wouldn’t let me pass without a fight… A clean fight, BTW. Once I passed them, they dropped back quite a bit so, that still needs work.

I didn’t have enough time to run a long race this morning, so I had to deal with 10 to 15 minutes of racing, depending on how fast a lap around the track took. Being in E class, i got about 4 laps of Spa, Catalunya and Homestead infield, before needing to go to kick boxes. I’ll see how they do on an hour long race tonight. But for a short race, AI level 5 was decent enough. Quite a bit of blocking though.

I am disappointed with the update. I didn’t expect miracles, but at least I expected easy-to-implement changes to the penalty system in multiplayer. What is the most important thing for me.
It feels like it now distributes more penaltys, but unfortunately it is still so inaccurate that the victims are often punished.
What would have really made a difference would be ghosting during high-speed collisions. And earlier disqualification. The Rammers don’t care whether they are on the podium with 5 or 9 seconds.

The fact that this terrible car point system has been softened is at least something.
The AI is still stupid. At level 8 it still brakes in a straight line and can barely keep the cars on the road.
What now? Wait another month for something relevant to happen. Nice…

Since the update the system is way harsher. Unfortunatly it`s still inaccurate, so we in a even worser situation than before.
Yesterday I was divebombed out ot track an get a 4 second penalty. At the end of race nearly everonye has one. And on the podium: First guy had 9 seconds.
By the way: My skill rating is 4500 S rating.

The best thing would be a system like GT7, which punishes immediately.
It’s no use adding time at the end of the race. If I get rammed off the track and need 10 seconds to get back on the road, why do I care if the rammer gets 4 seconds for it?
Drive through penalties without refueling and changing tires would be good.
Earlyer disqualifications and ghosting for high-speed collisions. But we can probably forget that.
Who knows how long they’ll even be doing anything on the game. The number of players is going down. Turn10 should have reacted 6 months ago.
Who cares about AI in an MP title?

“In an MP title”? It’s not. If they implement an Career Mode no matter how simple and short, it’s not an MP title anymore.
I’m not a fan of GT7, definitely also not immediate punishments. I’d rather enjoy cut warnings like AC and instant disqualification for unsporty behavior like iRacing.

The “career” is just a way to implement the FOMO actually
