HUD and Metric/Imperial system

Turn 10, Can you please add a hybrid system so that we can see KM/H on the HUD and Horse Power in the upgrade section of the car?

Currently if i choose to display horsepower, my hud shows MPH and Yards in distance. When I choose KM/H, the system shows Metres and Kilowatts for power.

Please, this is the 6th iteration and 2 Horizons in between. Us Canadians would be thankful if you added a hybrid system.

Sorry I skipped on FM5, but I do play Horizon 2 and it is still the same as in FM 1. Does this mean no hybrid option? Did FM 5 had those said options (to have KM/H and HP at the same time)?

Yes as a fellow Canadian I have requested this before. In Canada we use “Km/h” for speed, “HP” for power and “lb-ft” for torque. Even most of our vehicle weight specs list the weight in “lbs” instead of “Kg”. I have no idea what a kilowatt is so I just suffer with MPH on the hud. This is such an easy implementation and it’s annoying Turn 10 always ignores this.

Same problem for us in the UK, we would prefer power (BHP, not US HP), torque, speed, distance and tyre pressure in imperial but weight in metric, temperature is mixed, most use Celsius but a lot still use Fahrenheit (both used on the weather forecast for example). I liked how in GT4 you could mix and match from loads of different measurements for power and torque, you had BHP, HP, PS, CV, LB-F, N/M, KGF.M, however they appear to have took that ability away.

Because of the EU trying to make us use metric, we must be the only place to sell fuel by litre but quote MPG figures, use 0-60 and 0-62 times, and Beer and Milk are still sold in pints.

same problem in Norway as well!! And Sweden. And Denmark. And Finland etc etc… should I go on?
T10 please make these a easy fix? don’t sound hard

I’ve recently been thinking about switching from Imperial to metric as I’d like to have my cars’ weight in KG and speed in KMH, but the power figures would be tricker to calculate.

So after a quick google here’s the conversion rate:

So whenever I see a KW figure, the BHP will be roughly 4/3 times that. (300kw being about 400bhp).

It’s a similar story for torque:

I might change up my unit measurement tonight and see how I feel about it; I’m okay with either for speed but working with weight in LBS is a bit tricky as most of my references to real cars are in KG (a Formula 1 car weighs about 700kg and an LMP1 900).

I’d like to be able to “mix and match” if Turn 10 would allow us to in future.

In Australia, almost pure metric except where it doesn’t make much sense. The big one is tyre pressure and it’s very problematic in Forza.

The reason is the scale is not good for fine adjustments of tyre pressures. PSI has finer gradations than Bar.

Although it only displays full units, each click in BAR gives you a .1 PSI change. You need to switch back and forth between BAR and PSI to see the difference.
