Wrong units as always. Needs fixing!

It probably doesn’t bother any American but here in Europe (or at least many places in Europe) we don’t use kw. We use hp. But if I switch it over to English it will use mph instead of kmph and pounds instead of kilos.

My point is that I would like to have a third option that changed the units to -

  1. Kmph. (Speed of car)
  2. Hp. (Power of car)
  3. Kilograms (weight of car)
  4. Nm. (Torqe of car)
    All in one.

I know lots of people use these units but it isn’t an option to choose. It should be fairly easy to fix because the units are already there. Just not combined in this way. All we need is an extra button to press.

Thanks for reading and hopefully understanding. I would be very happy if this could get fixed soon

But the options are imperial v metric…metric measurement of power is the kilowatt, hence kph, kW, kilogram, and Nm.

Whose ever seen a horse under a car bonnet anyways???

Ahh the age old problem of mix and match measurements we all like our own. Easy solution is to allow you to configure each on an individual basis and that seems like a perfectly reasonable option to have in the game. Won’t happen lol

Me I like horsepower, mph, kilos for mass and lb/ft for torque. A wacky mix but it’s what works for me. Cars in general have always had this problem anyway - just look at how ridiculous to this day tyre sizes are quoted. Inches and millimetres??

Good luck on your quest. You’ll need it.

Yeah it does vary from country to country.

Mostly metric measurements for me, except pressure in PSI as bar doesn’t really mean a lot to me.

Then again the boost gauge on my old Skyline was in mmHg …

Theirs a phone app for the conversions if you don’t know them. Sorry op, doubt you will get this fixed buddy. I don’t see this as a high priority on the big/patch list. Just my opinion though.

Being a Canuck born in the early 80’s, I was taught to think in both units simultaneously.

1 mi = 1.6 Km (50mph = 80 kph)

1 kg = 2.2 lbs

1 Gal. = 3.75 L

$1 = $0.78

1 Rob Ford = 0.66 Donald Trump

And so on.

And

1 Gal (US) = 0.83 Gal (UK)
1 David Cameron = 0.48 Rob Ford

Damn, this could get complicated.

For those that struggle

1kw = 1.34bhp

Metric measurement of power is kilowatt in EU, and have been for many years now.

This had been asked for since fm2, so don’t get your hopes up.

Unfortunately this is the likely scenario.

Regardless, I’ll put my name in the hat for wanting KM for speed and distance, but BHP for power.
