I’ve missed a couple of reward cars since launch and was wondering if there’s any way to get them.
In Forza horizon 5 I would buy them from the auction house, but in Motorsport there’s no auction house.

You cannot currently acquire past reward cars, except by violating causality and building a time machine. Perhaps Turn 10 is taunting us to change our fundamental understanding of the universe. Perhaps it’s just toxic game design.

Toxic game design is an understatement!
Hopefully someone at Turn10 will see this is anti consumer and reverse this FOMO nonsense.
Best way would be to make the vehicle purchasable after the 6 week completion or add the Auction House back into the game once the other bad decision CP/CXP is modified.

I think the best way would be to add cars to the shop, to keep all featured tours permanently, and to allow players to replay the open tour to unlock previous rewards. That’s definitely going to be the next thing I hammer them on the head with until they get to their senses.

All Career playlists should be permanently added. I don’t understand why they when the FOMO route especially the lack of career content. Honestly liked doing the rivals challenges in FM7, but those cars were added to the showroom in a year or so afterwards.

I still can’t believe that they thought these temporary series were a good idea when there is so little career mode content to begin with.
As for the cars, make them a 6-month exclusive for the people who jump through the hoops. Then add them to the shop (perhaps at a very slight premium).
Another possibility would be to keep the series permanently, and give the car as a reward for completing the series in the target window. After the window is over, completing the series would unlock the car for purchase instead.
Whatever they do, I probably am not going to come back to the game (beyond an occasional check to see if they have really fixed the bugs they claim) until this issue is fixed in some way.

There are so many ways to address this silly design. What I don’t think they realize is that depending on to what degree people are “collection OCD” this will range from being annoying to downright show-stopper.
Just add a special currency that you can grind after having completed the current temporary events and allow players to spend that currency on past cars (maybe after a period of a season or 2). For example 1 race rewards one X and you can get a past car for 10 X. Then they win an additional 10 races and time invested in the game from the people who didn’t manage to get the car, and they’ve paved a clear path to “collection completion” where the individual can decide how important it is to have said cars.

Time limited events and cars are just terrible imo. If anything, it keeps me away from playing the game.
I assume the game has time limited stuff to keep people on Gamepass, hard to say for sure. I can’t think of any other reasons why it’s like that.

I don’t think it has anything to do with GP. Regardless of whether they left it inor not, people would have to come back at some point to get the content, and the demotivation of missing it is not less likely to occur with a paid sub than it is when you have the game paid for already…
I seriously think they believe it’s a motivation for players to time-box content (and in the short term it might be).
But basic psychology would suggest that getting rewarded for a providing a service that has monetary value is the definition of a job.
The exhange between the player and T10 is that the player races for a few hours before the “workday is over”, in order to receive a compensation in the form of a virtual car.
Doing this provides monetary value for T10 either in the form of time that goes here instead of to another game OR in the form of subscription time (as you say).
Ergo they consider their players as employees with an incredibly low wage :)…
This friends, is why it’s not fun and feels weirdly like being at work or in school :-)… It sucks the joy out of what is inherently an entertainment product, which only justification and reason to exist to begin with, is the level of fun and escapism it provides. Instead it feels like real life (the crap parts of real life)…

You could add a forum post nagging them to bring back the auction house. Add a short entry to it every day EG *bump *nag - and maybe they will get round to adding it in the end.

You can get the Audi racecar. In fact, T10 will probably mees up something again and as an act of good faith give us another Audi. Just give them time.
Pretty sure you mean the Acura race car. They did however gift us an Audi R8 v10 a while ago for…something, I don’t actually remember what.

I’m still bitter about that, it’s like c’mon I sorta earned that and now you are going to gift me another.
Now I’m giving the game another go is it possible @T10ManteoMax that you can just give me everything I missed out on in the last 3/4 months as a thanks for giving us a second chance?
Alternatively when you next speak with the team suggest adding the missed out on cars into the game at a premium cost?

I’m not joking, I’m actually going to try out the game again since the Nord has dropped… as for the rest of the comment, yeah that’s a joke, just like the game, and the fact is I don’t give two’S about the cars I missed nor will I going forward. I bought it just to do laps around the Nord and maybe dabble into some online if the Nord is ever released for it.
