these extreme-e races seem more like the scripted expeditions than the normal racing in the game imo…
i found the 14 races ive done so far an awful experience, never used so many rewinds in my life in single races… i think its the lack of sound deceiving my perception of driving the tracks idk…
you are right, It should just be one vehicle with 10 liveries to choose from not 10 same cars in garage…
this weeks races seem shorter aswell, which just adds to my frustration as a single mistake means a restart most times in these vehicles…
i even quit this weeks championship on the 2nd race after more frustrating minutes…
The HW pack, which ive not bought, has annoyed me this week being everywhere in your face if you bought it or not… but i thought i’d just carry on as normal… these vehicles have made me quit & turn the game off for the 1st time ever… hoping its not the beginning of the end for me
@Mankunian3733 Man you are echoing my feelings on the e junk and Hot mess. This is a good time to check out dirt 5 and some other racing games on gamepass.
I have to agree with the OP: these Extreme E cars are junk, particularly with a wheel. You literally have to stand on the brakes to even begin to slow down. It like driving on ice. They have ZERO grip and oversteer like a MF, regardless of how much you try to tune it out. And not having any engine braking through downshifting makes them less than worthless in a race. Fortunately so far I’ve been able to avoid the seasonal races with this junk and still get enough points for the seasonal cars.
I can’t believe I haven’t seen this anywhere on the internet yet, but the El Descenso Cross Country Extreme E event is literally impossible on Highly Skilled.
Edit: Finally finished it after modifying my buggy. Still, after this experience, I hold nothing but ill will towards every person involved in Extreme E in real life, the developers who though this a good track choice, and the executives who approved of this collaboration.
Really, I’m not that good but won that one on HS using the #44 and a “Don’t give a Deuce” tune without any problem. My fault at first was I kept to much throttle on before taking a corner and to soon and hard after it. My experience is thus, be more gentle using the throttle than needed for other cars and you’ll be fine.
