First off I know they are a reward for each time you level. However I have been banking them for a bit and noticed as I was using them they changed names. The ones that were from gaining a level were labeled as such however I noticed that several simply said “High Level Spin” and there was one that said “Special Spin”. Now I assumed the high level ones were rewarded from moving up the leader boards in rivals but I quickly noticed that wasn’t 100%. Forgive me if there is an easy to find Wheelspin FAQ that covers this but I’m currently only able to access the net from my phone and after a few min of searching had to re-tether so we can get back to racing.
You earn high level spins and special spins from leveling up your driver level
as you reach the higher levels you mostly receive “high level spins” with the occasional special spin thrown in there around ‘milestones’ i guess you could say (level 85, 100, 110 etc)
yep, increse your driver level, which means race cars you own, dont rent in freeplay. you get a spin every time you level up. once you unlock endurance races you can get up to 10 spins/levels fron a single race. spins are not tied to the leaderboards other than xp and driver leveling the same as other racing that i know of. you dont have to climb to the top of the leaderboards to get good spins.
Like I said, I get they are rewards from gaining a driver level. Those in fact are properly labeled “Level xx Wheelspin”. A good example for my curiosity is I was just level 45 and did 7 laps in rivals. I received a spin labeled High Level after completion yet I didn’t earn enough XP for level 46. I then hopped over to another track for a few laps which took me level 46 and awarded me a spin that was labeled Level 46 reward. The “Special” spins make sense but I have no idea what I did to earn the High Level one that was clearly not rewarded for gaining a level
