Why when a player quits a race that the notification has to pop up in the middle of the screen and block your view? Am I the only one seeing this? Or is there some kind of option in game to disable notifications? Cause personally I could care less knowing this and concentrate on my lines more. Not to mention I know when someone quits by looking at the screen to see how many players are there and by what position I’m in. Thanks for any input.
I completely agree with you on this, whitey92fs. Also a bit surprising that the “Race Ends in…” notification is also in the middle of the screen…partially blocking one’s view of the track/traffic ahead.
Would be great to move these types of notifications…perhaps towards the top of the screen or ?
exactly at least I’m not the only one seeing this
This also drives me crazy, those messages could not be in a worse place
I agree with both points
Yes this is very anoying. Hope they fix it.
Forza Motorsports 6: Player Quit message is very annoying. It is not essential information to my race and especially on the spot it is placed on the screen. This affects hood and bumper view on most cars, not all (sometimes the message is higher or lower).
Turn 10, please move this out of the way. Doesn’t anybody on your team play using these views?
*Bonus points if you can name all the cars!
See many examples below:
These guys know what I’m talking about!

Yeah I’m sick and tired of it!!
Why only a few of us are complaining about this?? It’s VERY annoying.
It is mostly annoying on tracks like Spa and Le Mans, where there’s a noticeable altitude difference.
Sometimes it’s just where you’re supposed to look (corners or opponents in front of you, hiding them)
Just put the message on a side, T10.
Nah, it’s most annoying on Old Mulsannne in the rain. Going down that long straight at over 200mph, the Player Quit message appears right on the vanishing point- the only part of the screen you need to see - and reduces the distance you can see to less than the distance you need to avoid anything in the road.
But, people have been complaining about this since launch. It seems that changing the coordinates of a text box or simply removing it completely was too difficult for T10 to manage during any of the 15 content updates they’ve pushed out in the 9 months since launch. Or they just don’t care.
With some vehicles, in hood view, it’s tolerable. But cars like the Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo (Any Lambo really), where the camera is angled down just a little bit, it is way worse than any car that the rear end is the same height (check ride heights and you’ll see). Running in the Lambo Leagues sucked because of this stupid issue, an issue that should be an issue at all. It must not be “High Priority” for them to keep it as is.
It would be nice if T10 gave us the control to turn the Quit message off via the Hud options.
I reckon it would be easier for them to just plug the message itself into the same function that displays when other cars pit, which appears correctly at the left-hand side of the screen. Why on Earth do these two bits of race info call totally separate UI functions in the first place? The only reason I can think of is sloppy game design.
The fact this still hasn’t been remedied speaks volumes for the lack of voice the community has. I have had my vision obscured by this annoying notification so many times often resulting in missing braking marks and even colliding with other cars. Seriously.
T10 just like to add to the chaos is what i think, any opportunity to improve the odd’s of a collision and they will think of it and will go ahead and incorporate it,bunch of clown’s that’s all they are, doing their best to turn the greatest racing franchise into a circus.May as well include clown car’s with the comedy horn’s in the next dlc and finish off the job…
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve blown corners or hit someone because of that. I already can’t see very well, and that makes it so much worse.
Totally agree, plenty of space above the mirror to have those popups instead of slap bang in the middle of the screen.
I think it has a lot to do with your TV’s resolution… The message is placed smack-dab in the center of my view, but I’ve seen videos on YouTube where the message isn’t placed as annoyingly.
I have an older flat screen that isn’t 1080p (720p?).
Wow that’s bad.
I’ve never used hood view as it is weird with a controller. I would if I had a wheel though and would be enough to stop me playing this game.
Please fix this issue. Last week in Hypercar leagues, Nurburgring at night was in the rotation and with how dark it is and your headlights only being the source of light, the box blocked the only part of the track that was lit up. Please fix.
You’d think with the screen real estate available something like this that isn’t vital information could be at the bottom or off to the side.
Don’t even get me started on the cheesy implementation of the fuel gauge…
