Yes this is very annoying when you are trying your best to race hard and clean it is very distracting, wish it would be removed or at the least be moved to another location on the screen
use telemetry mode, they don’t show up (I don’t use if because of quitters but it does say who quits when you take it off).
Good suggestion uber understeer but we shouldn’t have to loose our rear view mirror because Turn10’s testers didn’t discover this problem in development, this is an issue that should have never been discovered by players but by testers
I took off the rear view mirror, I use the look back button.
Yeah but I like having my mirror it wouldn’t take much of an update to fix the problem all they have to do is just do it, Do It, DO IT, DO IT!!!
Totally agree, however turn10 have known about this problem for month’s now and still nothing has been done about it,their arrogance dictates that we are wrong and they are right i’m afraid…
wow I just saw the video, its bad, so get rid of the rear view mirror and it wont be that low.
Thank’s for the tip,i didn’t know about that, will try it straight away.Shame someone from turn 10 weren’t able to give us all that tip,i have had this problem for month’s now…
Agreed.
Its like if nobody that works for Turn 10 has even read this post or are avoiding this on purpose. They are busy in the DLC and weird giveaway threads.
That tip work’s by the way,the one about turning off the rear view mirror. When player’s quit the message isn’t a problem now.Only thing is you become involved in more collision’s with not having that mirror available, but hey ho…
Please address this issue T10.

Please take it away completely Turn 10, what use is it to know who quits, we do not need it !
Also online the “Race Ends in X:XX” count down timer needs to be moved too.
We do endurance races and for many of us slower folks we get to run the last few laps with that right in center screen when there is PLENTY of room to add to the bottom or off to the side. Between the obscured vision and the crazy drivatars of those that already finished taking over the last laps turn into a a mine field.
confimed… i don’t have any issues in cockpit view and thats why i havent noticed it… i tried Hood cam now and it is really in the middle of the screen!
Hopes this get the atention it needs for those who are used to drive in Hood view ![]()
Oh please, try racing the cockpit view, which limits your view on its own, then being hit or hitting the wall causing your windshield to crack and stay that way for the remainder of the race - or have nothing but mist in front of you in the rain courses.
Here’s a tip, start taking note exactly when you start braking for turns, then look for road marks, distance to turn signs, or anything that will let you know that when you hit this mark, start braking. So when the quitter notification pops up again just before a turn you won’t be wholly dependant on seeing the turn or driving line in order make the turn.

I don’t use a braking line. I know what markers to look for. This does not change the fact that the name and end of race timers are placed directly in the field of view obscuring the turn. It’s pretty hard to hit an apex if you can’t see it.
I do not care if this issue does not effect you. There are plenty of us that it does hinder. Just a little FYI, it also makes it really hard to see if the person in front of you is braking. I, for one, do not want to hit the guy in front of me. There are also plenty of people who do not like the cockpit view due to the poor visibility from bad camera placement. Hoodview offers much better visability and I can actually see when someone is to my left or right. Maybe you should stop trolling those in the community who want nothing more than for T10 to fix a problem that effects so many of their fans.

So you agree that message is 100% in the correct spot? By seeing other people’s responses to you, we all agree you are racing god. Cockpit view looks cool bu so does 3rd person camera… doesn’t mean either one is better, its a matter of preference.
I also do not use the braking line and can tell you I rarely look at the turn when in the braking area. No point in looking at it anyways if you can’t even see it. As for the guy in front, if you hit your mark you shouldn’t be hitting him. Brake earlier if you are that concerned of hitting someone.
It’s not all that difficult to see if someone is close to you in cockpit mode, especially with the new system they have, but with the right stick and the rear view mirror it’s actually fairly easy to know what’s going on around you, just have to do a quick check before the next turn.
Giving my own opinion is not trolling, I just think it’s ridiculous when people complain about a camera view that benefits them 98% of the race.
I’ve seen the example videos and it doesn’t obscure the turn, maybe when you are 500m away from it, but as you get closer you can easily see the turn off to the side.
A cracked windshield is worse than what you guys have to deal with, even more so when you go into tunnels or shady areas as the cracks become white lines.
There are too many other problems that effect more players than this, IMO use whatever camera view you want, but deal with the consequences.

Well…
Having impaired vision anyway, these notifications (quit & race ends mssgs) help me see a whole lot of nothing. I have to use the braking line (only the braking line :P) and those messages keep me from seeing it it some instances. I’ve also run into people because those messages popped up. They last for what, 5 seconds? Who stays in the same place on a race track for 5 seconds? And its even worse, at least for me, when I’m in the faster cars, like the Modern GT hopper.
And if you’re wondering why a visually impaired guy would use the hood view, it’s because I can see more of the track in front of me = I drive better.
You don’t think it’s important? That’s fine.
You think there are ways around it we’re not using 'cause we like to whine? That’s great.
No one asked you anyway.

I’m sorry. You’re correct. Your opinion is the only one that matters. How dare anyone else in the community have an opinion that does not align with your view of reality. We should all stop “crying” now. I have seen the light! I will now only fallow the examples you set for the rest of the community. Our savior has arrived!
You can now sleep at night. You have won this argument. I will no longer question your extensive wisdom.
Any further replies will go unanswered. This thread is here in the hope that T10 will consider our feedback on thier product and hopefully make it better for the consumers.
Have a nice day.
