‘Twas a few days before Christmas & all throughout the Auction House, few rare cars were available, in which I could pounce. So decided to go sniping, which worked out just fine, even managed to score a Wuling Sunshine! Now feeling the spirit of the season’s good cheer, I upgraded these gems & gifted without fear. Now I ask you to listen & follow my lead, to give your best when gifting & or you will not succeed!
(Sorry, couldn’t resist & no, I definitely won’t be quitting my day job anytime soon 
)
So now that the gift levels have been achieved, I still felt like it would be a good gesture to gift some quality cars to hopefully brighten someone’s holiday in a small way. I fully upgraded each of these with my own tunes & designs, so really hoping someone gets them that can use them. I usually steer clear of the gift drops bc it seems to have turned into a recycling bin, but here’s my small part to try to help improve that during the holidays at least. Have been away from the game quite a bit in a galaxy far, far away practicing my Force skills in Jedi Survivor 
but still checking in here regularly of course.
Finally, just wanted to thank everyone for the support & friendship throughout the year & want to wish everyone a very happy & safe holiday season for whatever you celebrate! Cheers all!

hehe… loved it, and the artwork, nicely done.
Can’t quite make out the graphic on the Wuling (but I’m beat, half asleep * ) but it did pop an image in my mind for a new graphic challenge for you if you’re looking for inspiration and haven’t already done it or similar and I missed or forgot. Only if it sounds fun of course. Something along the lines of the Metallica flaming skull

Thanks, appreciate that! It’s actually a web etch design on the Wuling. Did that one a while ago, but thought it turned out pretty well. Metallica skull would be cool for sure.

Are cars gifted to non-active players? Would be a shame if these hard-to-get cars would go to people who’ll never see them.

Good question; I really have no idea & I think the whole gifting system is somewhat broken overall, but hoping at least some find their way to players who can use them. If not, oh well, at least the intent was there.

Since players that aren’t active don’t get the message I’d guess not. It’s not like cars magically turn up in your garage. You still have to actively collect them.
Also, from what I get cars that don’t get collected get back in to the “rotation”. That’s at least how it should be.

Do we even know if they all actually get gifted? I get the impression or at least feeling that more gifts are given than collected. Personally I’ve gifted at least 50 in the time period qualifying for this series and collected two, both stinkers.

The system used to send messages stating your gift was successfully delivered; is that no longer the case?

Hard to say. Depends on how many were giving any and total number of players collecting. I suspect the first number is smaller than the second 
I gifted, mmm, yeah probably around the same, 50 ish, mostly ok cars and a few 7+ figure cars. I got zero thanks but a kudo for delivery on each one. So were they being picked up by real people or drivatars ? Hey, drivatars need cars too
I also regifted every barn gift, 1 a day except for a couple days where I missed the notification because reasons. Maybe 20ish total ? Some of those were stinkers lol, a couple or so were very nice. They also got the kudo for delivery but no thank you.
Make of it what you will. I’m sorry I didn’t / don’t / won’t trust the Forzathon Shop to delivery the special gifts so I didn’t waste my time and money there. Nor did I get any but then I’m on Santa’s naughty list so

It did / still does for me. Felt totally automated this time around though. Like clockwork on the time stamps from gift sent to delivered notice.

Got my very first exclusive car gift this evening…after 3 years of playing….
Ferrari F8 Tributo but didn’t have a nice paint….i’ve had horrible luck with these gifts.
Although, I’ve very good at receiving Porsche Taycans (up to 15 now).

I gifted my Top Secret V12 Supra replica the other day to make some room (don’t like the McLaren swap). I wonder if someone actually got it or if it’s sitting in someone’s message center forever

I’ve not counted to be sure it matches. When I did several together I’d get 5 or so thank yous, then later 5 generic gift delivered. It was very odd all for the same car sent in multiples.
The messages themselves would be easy for the system to send regardless of the status of the gift. It would be simple also for the system to change any response to be a thank you from no message. 
Still seems that there’s more gifts than are collected but that could just be perspective, and the understanding of how easy it would be to fake from the technical side. And a bit from most of the gifts not being anything special.
Edit: Still I think it’s great what you did. I sent a bunch of Emory 356s

Thanks & nicely done with the Emorys! The other unfortunate thing about the gifting system is the fact that even though the designs & upgrades show when gifting the car, the recipient doesn’t see any upgrades to the car as delivered until they view it in their garage (unless that has changed).
