Help tuning

  • i can run top 1% on most tracks most classes. But apparently from this forum that really isn’t very good. Would like to get to to top0.1% what am I doing wrong? Or am I topped out? I’ve tried using other racers tunes but can get better times with my own. Love the game but hate having my but kicked by 4 second a lap

Race With better ghosts and see where they are faster. Normally you brake too late, thus having less speed out of corner.

Actually I brake a little early so I don’t overdrive the corner it’s the high acceleration crappy handling cars I struggle with. I’m not looking for specific tunes. Just some friendly help and some pointers in the right direction

Practice practice and more practice. Basically just play the game a lot and learn new things. One way that I know helps me is to go up and down in the classes and feel how they are different. Driving the higher classes your timing has to be spot on. Obviously things just happen faster. This helps when you go to lower classes. The skills you need to drive the higher classes carry over to the lower. In the end, your skill is your skill. I don’t drive with TCS, ABS and I use manual with clutch. Not using TCS and using manual with clutch can and will make you faster. Of course there are exceptions on some tracks with certain cars.

I play a lot my driver level is. 930 the only assist I use is abs don’t use telemetry to tune is that my downfall ?

I would definitely learn to use it. There are some things that are definitely worth looking at.

Make sure you read TG Wormburner’s tuning guide at the top of the lounge. Read it and read it again. Once you start tuning and keep tuning you’ll learn quickly that FWD cars tend to use very similar settings. Just the same with RWD and AWD.

Also please look at some of the open source tunes that are all over this lounge. See if that works for you and then you can go back to your tunes and see what the difference is. Open source tunes will help wonders.

Thanks bud. I’ll check it out. See ya
