I got an SSD and would like to copy the game from HDD, but I cant find the games location, I dont really want to download it again, as FH4 is really big. Any tips ?
open the apps setting click on the game and select move
PC, or Xbox?
Pc
Hi, i use a French Windows version, so i Don’t know if that will help you, but here is the way to move a program to another DD:
- right click Windows logo
- click on Settings
- click on Apps
- click on Forza Horizon 4
you should see now a button for Moving the program.
Whatever you do, do not copy and paste the files. That will not work as no registry entries will not be written in that case. Honestly I would just delete it from the HDD and than reinstall it on SSD, maybe overnight or something. It will just load a little faster on the SSD that is really the only benefit. I have it on an HDD on PC and load times are still way better than on Xbox One X in single player. Load times for multiplayer will probably not improve since you have to wait for everyone else anyway.
store apps support the move function no need to delete and reinstall (its nearly 80gb now you daft ?)
A lot of people do that and than complain the game won’t start after using the move function. Sorry buddy, I wouldn’t trust the windows store app with that if it can be avoided.
