42 here and just started a few months ago myself lol. the 1800RS is a DLC car so you should be able to see it, but not buy it directly without buying the DLC. i think your game files might need to update, could be why you didn’t see it. i know there’s a few american cars that can be tuned pretty good, but i have never really raced them yet. the Ford Escorts and Cossies are the euro ones. thank goodness they didn’t put the american ones in. i prefer racing the A and S classes myself and R class for my “having fun” cars, but still find it quite fun to race the lower classes though. i tend to upgrade the handling and stuff first, then add the power later as needed.
as for the Vega. i had a Kammonback wagon back in the day, the one that came with the camping tent for the rear hatch. the Vega was actually a decent car really, only got a bad wrap because of it’s joke of an engine. i thought the car itself had decent handling though really, not the greatest, but decent. i think the best thing you could do to it was to swap in a Buick V6 or about any Chevy V6 for that matter. made such a world of difference to the car IMO. now of course with a V8 and built right, you can put them on the drag strip and they’re hard to beat.
I’m a HUGE fan of wagons. I can’t stand minivans for some reason. The last car we bought was a 2009 Ford Focus and we so wished they still had been making the wagons like the previous models. And there wasn’t really any other choices for wagons that were american made at the time so we just went with a sedan. That’s really cool that you had a Vega wagon though with the camping stuff. I bet that was a neat car. What was the name of the model car that came after the Vega. The… Ahhhh what the heck was it. I liked those too. You could get them with a V-6. I think they came out when they were still making Vegas but then it basically replaced that class car when they dropped the Vega. Geeez, now I can’t think of what it was called. I thought it was kind of neat looking.
Hipwader, it’s good to know I’m not in a see of 15 year olds. Not that that would be a bad thing, but sometimes the conversations on a forum are… well… you know what I mean. hehehehe I’m totally getting hooked on this game. I need to be careful or I’ll be up all night playing it.
i believe the replacement your thinking of for the Vega would be the Monza and the Monza Spyder came with a V8 option too. also there’s the Vega GT it came with a V6.
edit: i’ve never really been a big fan of the “normal” muscle cars, but have always had a soft spot for the mini-muscles though. lol
Monza Spyder V8
Ding ding ding. We have a winner. That’s the one I was thinking of. Isn’t or wasn’t Monza a race or racetrack / road course in Europe? I’m not crazy about the “spyder” decals on it above, but for some reason I really like the styling. Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s gives you a warped sense of what is good. Cars were so baaaaad in the 80’s. For the most part. The kids and I are always cracking up a them when we watch the A-Team or MacGyver or something. I’m always calling them big box cars and my Daughter is like, “I like them”. ehhehehehe It’s funny to watch them take corners in car chases. My goodness.
yeah there’s a track with the same name and they still race on it to this day.
I thought so!
