Even some of the better ones like the F-Type still need a lot more “glow”.
The Alfa is just hilariously bad.
One of the things I have noticed going from the original Xbox to the One X is the lighting. On the original Xbox i could never see the headlights or tail lights in races with the exception of night races… and this was only ever for the head lights.
Now I have the One X and can utilise the HDR on my tv I actually see them in most scenarios. Perhaps they turn them off to save fuel economy?
I think some are still too dim on the One X.
VIR at night was always an issue - there was a headlight brightness issue in FM6 as well, but they never addressed it.
Voila… the issue seamlessly makes a comback in FM7. I think the Forza development team has been shuffled around completely. Next game title: Forza Bug Fest 8.
I’m almost 38 and this is the first time I’ve seen the term “rear lights”.
IMOH the breaklights should be (way) brighter and better visible, specially in the dark.
Wow, that got moved fast! Supermods!!!
Lights that actually work in night races would be a bonus for me.
I had to send a guy an apology message the other day because the modern hot hatch abarth 695 had no lights at all so I ran wide, hit the tyre wall, stopped dead and took him out behind me.
Can’t remember now but there was another car in that division with no lights.
Jumped into another multi-player division to find the mustang boss 302 had no lights as well.
I wonder how many more cars in this excuse for a game have this problem.
I am not seeing any illumination in the tunnel on the Rio Rivals -I really expected more light from my headlights!
Hey guys,
i just had a couple of races in the night and i have the issue that on some cars the rear lights are not on so they at times can not be seen when they have darker colors.
This would need a fix i guess.
What also bugs me is the fact that i find the rear and brake lights too dark in general. Just yesterday i had a night drive home and those brake lights literally can blend you, i had sometimes small lens flare effects in my view.
Also i find that some of the light sources around tracks need to actually throw light in their areas. Lamp posts for example. They are around, say Nurburgring, but the area that should be lit is dark. That does not seem right
Would be really cool if the devs responsibel for the games lighting engine could take a look into this.
Cheers
Edit: That got moved fast, thanks Mods. So, apparently its a known issue and so much so that the mod immediatelly knew where to find this thread
Hopefully it gets passed to the development team as lighting is especially now in times of HDR and in times of GT Sports lighting engine really important for the immersion.
Brightness of head- and taillights are for me at the moment the biggest issue in the game as i like to drive in dusk or dawn conditions in general.
I was just testing the new Update for GT Sport where they added Monza and once again it striked me how good the rear and braking lights look.
I took that picture from replay mode where for sure they are a bit enhanced, but when you actually drive it looks more or less identical.
I so wish Turn10 would up the intensity and/or brightness of their brake and rear lights. Also giving them a small corona glare effect would be cool as this is how it looks in reality for your eye.
Anyways, a good start would be to even have all cars having rear lights turned on when racing in dusk/dawn or night conditions, as some just have theirs switched off and it looks really bad when driving in the pack.
Here is the photo i took of GT Sport, should really serve as an example how lights should look like in todays racing games.
