The headlights are too weak in most of the cars. Especially the GT3 cars. Brighter headlights would be nice. Alternatively, a highbeam would be necessary for night races.
Generally speaking, headlights and high beams should be switchable.
Hi @DODUCO . This issue was already reported.
The OPs issue is slightly different. He’s referring to headlight beams specifically and a hi/lo toggle which I think absolutely needs to be in the game.
The headlights project as if they are just 7 feet in front of the car. The track surface ahead and surroundings do not get lit up convincingly.
As for GT cars, those have a lot of lights in the front and are very bright. That isn’t modelled in the game either.
Thanks for doing so @Pooya995016 .
Totally supporting your opinion! And, as i mentioned, it would be nice to have the option for switchable high beams!! What‘s so difficult about that?
We have been asking for this feature for months now but still nothing.
The beams in this game are just not convincing makes driving unnecessarily difficult.
Remember FM6? It has pre baked conditions but the driving at night looks so convincing. Just take it to Sebring or Nurburgring to see what I mean.
Ironically, they brightened up the headlights halo and illumination, but the beams are pretty much the same. Interesting…
Hi @DODUCO . Brightness increased with update 13.0 .
Brightness increased only for the exterior halo/glow effects around tail lights and headlights, not the actual beams on the road. Even if the beams’ illumination level has been increased (if that’s what you meant), it’s nominal or negligible at best.
The beams are still weak, both in terms of range and brightness. The shadow pop in front of the beams also hasn’t been addressed, making road textures in front of the car really odd and low res.
@Here
Would it be possible to provide a recent video of this in action?
No, I can’t provide a video, sorry. The beams are weak - that in itself is sufficient feedback. Please make them brighter with better spread and more range in front of the car.
