Hey Guys, as stated, I’m trying to get back into Drag Racing / Drag Tuning. I’ve tuned a couple of cars and I’m just wondering if my Racing and Tuning is up to standard.
As a Reference to my Drag / tuning, I’ve tuned and tested a 2012 Jaguar XKR-S.
This car is in R Class AWD (Maxed out… to a certain degree)
My best time I’ve achieved on the 1/4 mile is a 8.350.
Just wondering what you guys are achieving. It’s just to see if I maybe back up to standard.
Please reply!
My times and cars:
Lotus Eleven at 8.017 (R, AWD)
Yellowbird at 7.884 (R, RWD)
I wouldn’t have thought about that Jag. I focus on the lighter cars and then see where I end up. At the top, you’ll find the 33 Stradale, R390, Ultima, Caterham, Lotus Eleven, Yellowbird, Esprit, Elise, Venom, 458 and Bugatti (not light, but what can I say…). I also like the SLK55 and DBR1.
Forgot to mention that these are tunes for the mile so 1/4 and 1/2 times are what they are. These guys are both running 19.6xx. Once I get them from launching left without correcting they can be faster.
I was looking through rivals last night and saw there was an executive sport quarter drag. Is that why you are running the Jag? I ran my league B600 M6. And the hog ran 11.733. Great in real life; had me laughing while doing it in Forza. At least it launched straight, which is unlike almost every other car of mine.
I’m just doing a full power launch so there is a good 0.100 - 0.050 to take off. I’ve tuned the car a bit weird as well… as everyone knows, the Yellowbird has some front lift problems…
I think with a good launch with some good gearing, I think the car could possibly do a Mid/Low 7.6XX. So, quite easily in the Top 100.
